So goes the dollar, so goes Ashtead.

Ashtead Group and Wolseley are both gaining on the back of the rising US dollar

Wolseley has had a particularly good run.

"they will be showered with concessions by their strict aunts and uncles".
===========================================================================

You mean Auntie Angela and Uncle Wolfgang will allow them to do what they are told.

The Greek 'yes' was the catalyst to push the share price over 1070 resistance which it was making such a fuss over. Now comes the interesting part. How will it deal with the Daily SMA 200 currently at 1096.

Once they admit they have been naughty boys and promise not to do it again they will be showered with concessions by their strict aunts and uncles.
They will never pay the debt off and why should they the USA never do, just raise the ceiling.
cheers

A Greek 'yes' vote is akin to turkeys voting for Christmas.

A Greek 'no' vote is akin to turkeys voting for Thanksgiving.

It provides a stark example to the meaning of 'between a rock and a hard place'.

The share price is dithering.

You will observe that on previous occasions that following a biggish fall it has reversed and risen without any fuss but not this time.

The Daily MACD is rising but the share price is having a problem getting past 1070. It needs to 'get cracking'.

The article is from last week.
Three weeks ago using almost the same wording the point was 1138.
I guess I will not be subscribing.
I'll follow bigboy's insider info as it seems as good.
Thanks bracke

I can see no particular relevance to 1092. I can see a relevance to 1096 which is the current Daily SMA 200.

The Daily SMA 200 was last at 1092 on 24 June. Does their use of 1092 go back to that date?

I must try to read more about these technical terms. They have passed me by.

I see the share price is giving 1070 a good 'squeezing'.

Please excuse me interrupting the Disco & 2flat symposium on 'Typos, Tampers & Top Ups'.

The share price is being resisted at 1070. There appears to be no particular reason for this other than it has been a previous s/r zone. Barring some bad news (e.g. Greek Parliament voting 'no') resistance should not last very long.

bigboots,We're you in the meeting where this was discussed?, are you invested here?.Do not wish to cause offence but you have a history of posting similar "takeover/acquisition/merger/bids, etc comments on other boards:TRT - "potential buyer" - never happened.JE - "private equity group offering £4.50 per share" - never happened.GENL - "£9 50 per share cash offer" - never happened.BLVN - "spudding delayed due to receiving an approach for their entire shares in issue" - never happened, delay was down to drilling rig issues.Etc, etc, etc.If your answers to my questions are both yes, then IMV the FCA would be very interested in your recent posting (50841) so have saved a copy. Believe insider trading is a criminal offence. However, if your past history is anything to go on then I doubt we will have the pleasure of hearing from you again on this board (which does not need any blatant tampers such as yourself).ThanksDD

Been in a meeting today. Ashtead had been considering a bid for Speedy hire, today they informed the City that they are not proceeding with a bid

This has been depressing the shareprice if late

Up up and away from here, hopefully
