16/1/2020 22:33 | jimi what do CWR do? Import parakeets ? | fenners66
16/1/2020 16:32 | Ashtead goes ex-div tomorrow I believe, interim payment of 7.15p per share payable 5th Feb Jimi, welcome back, good to know you are still around, and good luck with CWR perfido (formerly ianwwwhite) | perfido
16/1/2020 14:11 | Good day jimi I trust you are well. AHT has done very well but has flattened off recently. It now has to leap the £25 fence. If/when it does that and the US economy holds up off it will go again. I looked at the CWR chart. I note at one time it was at £40 before dropping to single figures!! A typical AIM company chart. Hopefully you bought at the lower levels. It's currently at 330. 400 appears to be likely resistance and then 500. I wish you good luck. | bracke
16/1/2020 13:33 | Hi all!! Thought I'd pop my head in to see who is still on this one! A few familiar names still here! Hi bracke! What an amazing climb from when I lost my bottle, and sold my entire holding. Hindsight is a wonderful thing! Hoping not to be seen as a ramper, but CWR is my interest now, and very hopeful of its price action being similar to AHT. Be interested to see what you guys think! | jimi hendrix
13/1/2020 17:28 | All time intra day high - 2501. Gradually edging up to upper trend line. | bracke
13/1/2020 09:58 | $/£ falling so a little boost to us..... | fenners66
10/1/2020 21:20 | Thanks SMCN1968 that's good enough for me. Ten years is a long time in forecasting, I get the feeling that they are perhaps relying on Nasrudin's logic in the well known fable: 'And a lot of things can happen in a year. The king might die. The horse might die. I might die. And, who knows? Maybe the horse will sing' | perfido
10/1/2020 21:08 | I have a copy of the Barclays report- basically they think the company can grow Sunbelt over the next 10 years to 2x current size by continuing their current strategy, of they do that you can justify their share price target on a DCF basis so the 3150 or whatever is unfortunately a bit theoretical. happy to forward on Monday if you message me an email address. | smcni1968
10/1/2020 18:16 | New intra day high - 2489. | bracke
10/1/2020 17:50 | Cheers bracke | 2flatpack
10/1/2020 16:23 | Good day 2flat Viewing the daily chart suggests that a turn in the share price is not far off if it maintains the previous patterns. The trend channel which commenced at the start of 2019 remains in operation. The Daily SMA 200 forming the lower trend line. The upper trend line angle eased in mid 2019. The share price is due to reach the upper trend line at approx 2510-2520 at which point a retrace of at least 100 points is likely to occur before continuing to the lower trend line. When the share price reaches the upper trend line it would require something special to break and move up above it. | bracke
10/1/2020 13:39 | Bright spot in US jobs numbers +20,000 construction jobs | fenners66
10/1/2020 11:51 | Morning all, Jumped ship as the price stalled. Happy with exit at 2460. Now the wait for the 200 day. As always I live in hope. Happy new year to all. long or short. Cheers | 2flatpack
10/1/2020 10:14 | Mr Rupert Hargreaves must have made this up. The company provides an essential service to tens of thousands of small construction firms globally and, because the cost of buying equipment is so high, this isn’t likely to change any time soon. | riley109
09/1/2020 18:13 | Intraday and Closing High - 2473. | bracke
09/1/2020 12:35 | Bloomberg just suggested that "US Cyclicals" will raise EPS by 15% in 2020 outperforming the rest of the market AHT are a cyclical are they not ? | fenners66
07/1/2020 15:58 | perfido Yes I know but remember I'm biased! I presume that Barclays are forecasting a large rise in earnings either organic or by acquisition. | bracke
07/1/2020 15:50 | Bracke Come, come the buyback may be one aspect, but you are ignoring all the other factors that contribute to Ashteads performance, hence we need to see the full text before passing judgement. Q3 results are due 3rd Mar | perfido
07/1/2020 15:43 | perfido Thanks for information. 2396.5 to 2430 is an increase of 1.40%. Not very onerous. I too would be interested in the Barclays reasoning. AHT would have to buyback a very large quantity of shares to increase the share price by 31.5%. | bracke
07/1/2020 15:31 | Good day bracke, Previous forecast made: price was 2444 27th Nov 2019 reiterated I would be interested to read the full Barclays Capital opinion if anyone has access? (It seems that it mentions the buyback and I am interested in their view) | perfido
07/1/2020 15:16 | Good day perfido Can you remember what the share price was when the 2430 forecast was made? "Oh ye of little faith" ==================== I did not post that 3195 would not be attained. My point is that banks/brokers etc make such forecasts without giving reasons or when the forecast will be met. Bear in mind that 2430 to 3195 is an increase of 31.5%. I can well imagine the posts on this thread if I made such a forecast without rhyme or reason!! Even when I an Elite Guru provide superb reasoning with chart analysis I am still subject to ridicule and castigation. | bracke
07/1/2020 13:49 | Oh ye of little faith, Barclays previous target of 2430 was attained in short order. (Edit removed) . | perfido |
