Personally, i feel that it will now move on upwards to 25- 28p.
Then fall back slightly before final report

Ex-div 0.5p while the bid price drops just 0.25p? I don't call that a fall.

Gentlemen - all shares always go ex-div on a Wednesday. The record date is purely admin and of no significance to shareholders.
If you are in any doubt, click on the 'Financials' tab at the top of the page and you will see a page of financial info about ALY. Scroll down to the dividend section and you will see the divi arising from the interim results. Ex-div is tomorrow and Friday is the record day.

Ex div date is tomorrow guys. The record date is purely an administrative event. If you hold the shares when the market closes today, then you get the divi. Simples.

From the most recent announcement in August:

''On 9 September 2010, the Board approved the payment of an interim dividend of
0.5 pence per share, an increase of 100% (2009: 0.25 pence per share). The
interim dividend will be paid on 10 November 2010 to all shareholders on the
register at the close of business on 15 October 2010.''

15th then

Could cream of the best, leave the rest to see what develops!!
All within the ISA umbrella, so no gains at mo to worry about

I think you're right, the CEO has been mopping up as well as the Malaysian Company he has an interest. It can only be a matter of time before they go private & can't see much premium left in this stock, bar the dividend. I must confess that if I'd not paid the 32p 12 years ago, I'd have been long gone.

bobby
i agree with you, but that is a friengtening point/trend in my view.
I hope, it does not fall back to 14p.
I see this continual trend a viable reason, for them to go private and for the directors, to certainly line their own pockets.
it certainly seems not to be the case in the open markets.
think of the returns they would make.
PDYOR IMHO

Phil,
These always retrace when it goes ex-Dividend. Without any news I see this slipping sub 14p- I hate to say this but historically it has always behaved this way.

Where do you all see the share price next week, in your views!!!

Do you think it will pass it's high point of 19.25 by 12th Oct. I had expected that to happen what with all the good news adding up after each report release, int & annual!!

After record date next fri, what do you then see happening in your views, up, or falling back. The later is my personal view, that has happened last few years.

But, on a positive not, i would much prefer to see that trend being cast aside & the share price pass into the 20p, and rise to possibly 25p, staying / hovering around this figure until closer to Ann results.
PDYOR IMHO

This maipulation is wide spread. I've often felt that this was illegal as it distorts the market. These Market makers are a law unto themselves.

Lets hopw it happens soon!!!
The mm's are holding it back by manipulation, IMHO

A reality check, do we see it pass through it's yr high of 19.25!!!!
