Volume near 3 million. Still really cheap after the second set of really good figures. So it was no fluke, which the market thought it was with the first set this year. Laura Ashley is expanding and that has to be good NEWS for the market to digest.NO debt. MILLIONS in the bank. Business expanding at all departments.HUGE increase in internet sales. Market cap has been low for some time now, What will the market really think abouit this company now and in the future?? PLUS one of the best DIVIs on the stock market. What is Laura Ashley really worth with this last set of figures. Monday will tell us the answere. The research has all been done for us, it is in black and white now. Well done Directors and Staff.

The extra DIVI has put this on another platform, surely institutions will look at the future prospects of this expanding well run company? If the internet sales increase at high levels , LAURA ASHLEY will go forward quickly,for a retailer this is incredible news. Will the shares now be in demand after a second set of superb figures? I was sure the results would be very good , and am chuffed to have invested my DIVI.

3m shares out on loan: I imagine many shorts closed this am and more will close this afternoon as investors buy into the success story. Don't think there'll be many sellers at this SP, so could be a mini short squeeze.

Just so many news articles..

Apparel and homewares retailer Laura Ashley saw total UK retail sales rise 5 percent to £121.6 million in its first half, with like-for-like sales up 6.2 in the 26 weeks to 31st July. Pretax profit, excluding exceptional gains, rocketed from £100,000 in 2009 to £5.7 million during the period. Ecommerce sales grew by 63 percent to £15.4 million

Volume really picking up, the week end papers will have some really good comments regarding LAURA ASHLEY, it is a sucess story , no doubt about it .I am pleased , very pleased with the results, and am sure many others will be also. Well worth holding as the cash in Bank tells just how well this company is doing, expanding abroad as well as huge uplift in internet sales. This has got to put LAURA ASHLEY in the spot light now and in the future?? What is LAURA ASHLEY really worth?? We will all find out soon enough?

Thank you for that (uknighted). That is really good money . .7+.5 = 1.2+ pence per share, excellent in this so called climate? Funny things happen on the stock market, interest could kindel on this share, o c trades not seen on this stock very often? spread is narrow hope it stays that way.The shares being held tight could force the price up to a much higher level in the future. Just a thought?

Just topped up with a few more. Don't have many, only 20k, which stand me in just over £3k (15.1p ave). The divis, .75p and now .5p give me £250. This works out at c.8%, this must be one of the best around.

Minho Interim dividend:
"On 9 September 2010, the Board approved the payment of an interim dividend of
0.5 pence per share, an increase of 100% (2009: 0.25 pence per share). The
interim dividend will be paid on 10 November 2010 to all shareholders on the
register at the close of business on 15 October 2010."

Strangely enough, this stock is largely unfollowed and unloved on the market; for a very well known high street retailer, this is odd.

However, we appreciate and understand the business, and can make good money here - nice to see internet sales up a staggering 60%!

Best results of any company on the London Stock Exchange this year for certain . This stock must be worth at least 30 pence a share bottom line. Wonder if there will be eyes looking at this company with these results??
