Come off of it debs - your an expert in retail and you know the background to this, and you make great calls more often than not. I am surprised your even interested in this at this level, as the downside is only to Zero from here and very little volume.

More likely go to 10p than zero imo.

Annual Results on 22 August !

"Trading conditions have been very demanding over the third quarter.
The Board of the Company have reviewed the revised full year forecasts for the year ending 30 June 2019 and expect the results to be significantly below market expectations."

The Investegate website lists all RNS each day, none showing this morning for ALY.

Do not like Friday rns's, hopefully just an advfn error.

Nice w formed on the chart the last few sessions, looking to possibly
increase again, any slight good news and this will recover dramatically
I feel, they have more cash than their market cap, really.

L2 anyone?

Thanks for that link srp.

I know what your saying about clothing BUT unless you get your stock spot on, your margins go out the window and its very easy to make big losses. LA really has had its day in fashion imo. In fact although they did well in the hay days of chintz, they are never going to be a fashion brand in the premium end.

The market is there for Home Products and Home Style along with the Franchise Hotels/Tea Rooms, and they only need a very limited number of self run stores, as these can be Franchised out, as they have done with Sandpiper in the Channel Islands.

The website is the big puller and the best way forward for Home products and leave the Fashion to the experts in that field - chucking money away trying to turn LA into a Clothing Fashion Brand - that was ok in the 80`s but not now.

L2 - Weak till you get to 1.75

No, good margins in clothing, I think they should just continue to close
poor performing stores and opening a tea room in an area that a LA
store is doing well, wealthy areas that like LA, ditch the others that do not.
I was told weekend by a retail space expert that retail space costs are back
to the 1990's levels. AIMHO.

How is L2?

srp, would you say that LA is intending to dispense with fashion (clothing) and concentrate on home furnishings/Lifestyle - Refined Living - Leisure (Franchise Hotels/Tea Rooms)?

Have you been into any stores of LA`s of late?

Bid volume 5 x Offer but now the offer has popped back up, worth waiting again unless volumes go through the roof imo. Not holding yet, so just my view srp. DYOR
