02/1/2020 12:57 | B Yes agree, we have the new London store this month and possibly further tea rooms agreed. The UO collaboration is excellent my teenage daughter loves UO so trendy and up with events I am told, so having ALY linked with them is giving the name a new young market, and hence another valuation and a much wanted revenue stream. This before China. I have held and averaged for well over twenty years. dyor | srpactive
02/1/2020 12:36 | Not wishing to call too soon, but looks very positive. Been watching ALY for years after a disastrous investment in ALY in the late 90s. Toyed with purchasing across the last 3 months but paid too little attention and just kept on my monitor. Saw the rise starting to build @2.2p and took a punt that the basics and valuation were too out of kilter. Got myself @900k at 2.5p and thought I hand overpaid having to pay 0.2p above prevailing. Surprised to see the momentum build so quickly, thought we would need positive news, but will only take a few points of margin improvement, which may simply come through exchange rate anyway, to have £10m of post tax this year. So with a decent macro wind and internal right decision making could easily be trading above 20p this year. Remember it was only a few short years ago ALY was declaring a 2.5p dividend. Puts today's price into context.Barry | barryendean
02/1/2020 12:35 | Spot on LM - Thank you. 50% is far to generous as the asset provider. 20% is generous but using children as pawns is the really painful thing.Still Chin up and breath deeply and wait for the storm. srp, I hope your now well in profit. | clocktower

02/1/2020 11:33 | CT - I once went to a city discussion where the main speaker was a lady senior partner in a family practice. Apart from explaining the rules around last 6m of family residency dictating the jurisdiction for divorce (v diff terms in Scotland, abroad etc which is why they often fight over jurisdiction) - she said that whilst the press paint men as the ones who try hide assets etc, esp in high profile cases - in reality trying to get money out of a woman is often 10 times harder - there is no sense of fair play - it's a critical once in a lifetime payoff & they simply become mindless & recalcitrant. This from a female legal partner! (not me) Fight to make sure the partner doesn't get more than 50%, look after your soul & health most importantly, understand that all men (& women) ultimately betray if the price is right, and start compounding thereafter. Perhaps not in silly punts like this, but in a basket of the very best 8 funds/ITs out there in any given year. Become a bit of an expert, and you'll slowly come back via compounding, whilst her asset base will stagnate or slowly shrink over the next decade. Good luck chap, look after yourself & ATB LM | luckymouse

02/1/2020 09:14 | CI As I have said many times this is worth easily £150m for starters, once the new store opening, UO collaboration, tea rooms expansion, new licencees and China links are rolling and the city finds out we will worth much more than that. I would hope we get to 15p quite quickly if good news is released. dyor | srpactive
02/1/2020 08:38 | K Thank you and lets hope so,this could easily be the recovery stock of 2020 with a little decent news. dyor active | srpactive

02/1/2020 08:25 | Yes also if the mm's showed aly at the correct price 3.25p mid, their would be a rush to buy even just based on the chart, but I feel they will not yet as they will have very limited stock. Hopefully a close nearer 4p tonight. dyor | srpactive

01/1/2020 15:23 | Well, anyone think it looks like it might be breaking out? Up 48% on my holding - I hadn't expected to be saying that ahead of Christmas. Its nice. And so quiet. I am still on my first wife - 27 years now. I am waiting for 10p before I tell her that we are holding ALY shares. Happy New Year everyone. G. | garth
