The shares are suspended now and worth nothing. This is very dodgy. As you say it will end up private

f66 Yes you were correct, I was correct as they recovered. They do not have debt. They had cash in hand after the Singapore sale and the hotel. £37m raised only recently. Get the government involved with a financial forensic analyst all will come out, I want my money back, enough of this going on, foreign owners making a fool of the UK investors. dyor

fenners66 3 May '19 - 19:37 - 4430 of 4505 Edit "srp - but where is that cash in the bank going ? 2-3 years ago they had £30m in the bank I don't think LA will go bust - I think they will go private I believe the shares will continue to fall until they reach the wanted buy price - whatever that is. Then there may be a small premium and then .... de-listed." I think they came up with an improved plan - either buy from administrators or somehow swap debt for equity.... More astute management......

Shropshire star! Mp seeks help from sec state. The gov could still help them as it’s a heritage brand to make a example. They have only issued a intention to appoint and admin should try to save them anyway if done properly. They have been in admin before

Where is there an announcement about the jobs ? This is another DEBS , especially as help for retail is at hand and the business was starting to perform. This is not about shutting down LA its about wiping out minority shareholders and taking control to bond holders. World has moved on and debt holders have the power - just ask Mike Ashley with Debs - he got taught a £100m lesson there. Highly indebted company the shares were worthless.

U They were bouncing, I know the tea rooms were doing well, the UO collaboration was and the lines were being sold out quickly, and the co even said rev growth 28% and profit growth 22%, what other UK retailer stated them sort of figures. The people with the power have been informed, I just want my money back, they have £400bn, I just want a little.

Yes but I am after compensation. They state on Monday company doing very well over the last six/seven weeks and no effect from c19, then Tuesday the rug pulled just as the chancellor states massive business rates reduction and free cash loans. And the chancellor knows, so do the management.

I think ALY announced their Admin plans a few days too early, clearly the company was bust before Covid19 struck.

U Thank you, but I will continue to fight this one on my own, the government have been contacted. Yes very sad you could see the share price reaction at the end of the year that I feel was moving due to the business seeing the figures improving, I have know that for a fact. That is why this has happened, plug the rug before the recovery, and it would have recovered. dyor

I feel for you srp. At times you have been the only one keeping this thread alive and, despite posters suggesting you should cut your losses, you believed in the company to the bitter end. This is how your loyalty is repaid. Good luck with your other investments.

Yes agree, but I would not use the word clever, many others would suit in my honest opinion. He has left to probably come back and takes parts of it with funding from the government and another.

The management are to blame, but it’s been going this way for a long time. My problem is the way it was done. These people are very clever and timed it to perfection. We had it coming for a long time. I assume it can still be bought up but dowt it will happen !! Would look good in frazers mr ashley???
