SRP the company I mentioned, SUFC Sheffield United, you may recall has been bought by an Arab Sheikh. I had no say in the matter, no vote, no offer to buy the shares, and despite 4 letters recently they will not communicate with me. I’ve written it off. Good luck, but sometimes you just have to put it down to experience and move on.

ct I am fine, the losses have ensured no tax cgt charge. But not right them thinking they can just stamp and cross peole who have done nothing wrong, was told from a young age, be strong but be careful who you cross, as sometimes the people you cross might get the opportunity to right the wrong.

f66 You do not say. I will hold mine so they will not have 100%, for what it is worth. At least that will ensure if they relisted in a number of years time I could be part of it. I stand to be corrected. They could make it very easy, contact each remaining shareholder ( there will not be many left as he holds 75% and many would have sold prior to the news re administrators ) and offer them 4p a share.

I have shares in SUFC who delisted, not went into receivership/admin, and the only way to trade these is for my broker to let the market know that shares are available and see if anyone responds. Clearly I don’t understand the actual mechanics of how it works but that is the gist. Two years later I’m still holding!!

spr "You may be able to sell your investment via an off exchange venue, if this available. Further information may be obtained from the company directly. You will need to receive a certificate to do this. If it is available, we can request one on your behalf." No idea what an off exchange venue - clearly need info from ALY in due course

Ashley (Laura) Holdings PLC DELISTING Ashley (Laura) Holdings PLC delisted from the London Stock Exchange (LSE). What this means for you: If you hold the investment in an ISA, regulations require that we remove this within 30 days of the delisting. 1. If you have an Investment Account with us we will move your holding to this account 2. If you do not, we will re-register your holding on to a certificate in your own name (provided this is available). By moving it out of your ISA the shares no longer benefit from being in an ISA wrapper You may be able to sell your investment via an off exchange venue, if this available. Further information may be obtained from the company directly. You will need to receive a certificate to do this. If it is available, we can request one on your behalf. If you hold this investment in a SIPP, pension regulations prevent the assets from being removed from the SIPP. Your only option to remove this holding would be to transfer part or all of your pension to a specialist SIPP provider that will accept unlisted assets. If the delisted holding remains in your portfolio, it will show the last traded price and will continue to be included in the calculation of your monthly fee.

d99 Yes the company has been struggling since making £20m in 2015 and the management led by Chairman bought Singapore white elephant left it empty and then getting divorced. If they had put the £6m into the business instead of spending it on lawyers things could have been different.

f66 Yes we all know, the p8888n that left on the Monday will be involved. This family really. The best 70 profitable stores, the new fashion links and the support from the government. Yes mui had £10m but suddenly did not have time to help, but I bet they do now.

I classed these as one of my "shoebox" shares a long time ago and any emails I'm sending are to try and thwart any possible shenanigans and hopefully keep the 2,700 staff employed, even if only for six months or so. Holding shares is just a punt now on a white knight coming in and, with the government help, using the breathing space to execute a turnaround. Anyone who has had these shares for a long time, and not trusted the management, have have had numerous opportunities to get out along the way. It's not as if it was a shock. I hope the current management decide (or are shamed into) keeping the stores going in the short term There is absolutely no chance of shareholder compensation from the government and why would anyone be daft enough to sue a bankrupt company. In my experience, many of those suspected of serious financial misconduct usually get a knighthood :)

SRP this company was doomed before covid19, it was the management not the virus that finished this company off. Your actions should be through the courts against the BoD. The BoE and Chancellor have much more important things to do. I’m sorry for you because I used to own ALY shares and continued to follow the BB thread and know that you had great belief in the company’s future and continued to buy the shares. You have been let down by the BOD’s apparent greed and mismanagement and that is from whom you should seek compensation. Hopefully your other investments will come good, I think I have seen you on the GGP thread. I’m sure that investment won’t let you down. Good luck.

f66 Yes but it is more difficult now with the boe and gov offering money to support. If one of the big boys did take and issue in court I think they would have the above on their side, like the 2.7p for starters. He could be one. dyor
