Mid price now 174p.

Started on stock exchange in Jan 07 at about 20p.
High point in June 07 - 300p. (Up 15 times in less than 6 months!)
Low point in Aug 07 - 100p
High point in Oct 07 - 360p
Now 174p and going down again.

Mind you, you know what they say... the market is always right!!

The Grand old Duke of York,
He had 10,000 men,
He marched up to the top of a hill,
And he marched them down again.

And when they were up, they were up,
And when they were down, they were down,
But when they were only half way up,
They were neither up nor down.

Down 24p this morning, then dives up to -6 on the day so far. I expect the rise from -24 to -6 is because of some shorters have closed a few.... and who can blame them?

I'm a very amateur chart follower, but it looks like there should be some resistance around 200p.

I refer readers to my post a couple of weeks ago when the shares were above 300p

techmark - 8 Nov'07 - 15:16 - 145 of 168 edit

60p target. Revenues just £4.5 million, no profits, and only small amount of cash on the balance sheet. Market cap £166 million. Crazy valuation.

Cantor (cantorindex.co.uk) are tonight showing their December price at 301.5 - 303.4p which is clearly an error. Be really nice if they keep it there for downbets in the morning ;o)

Chances of that happening? About nil probably :o/

Wow. £5k on a short in a day, with more, much more, to come. Didn't get a chance to add to the short, but still, never mind.

I can only guess that chart-addicts were buying this because they saw it going up, and the same people can't get rid of it quickly enough because now they see it going down. In addition, a lot of these guys are in the USA and didn't want to hold it over Thanksgiving (Thursday 22 Nov) cos it might tumble further in London on Thursday, and they can't sell up because the USA markets are closed.

It should be an interesting day tomorrow. Perhaps I'll get that chance to add to the short tomorrow.

Don't think the cash is running out. They have just got in an additional £2.5m through the exercise of options.

Only a matter of time before gravity takes over. The valuation is absurd, the cash is running out, the credit markets are shut.

From FT re: last week:

The most significant losses were in the tech sector. The Nasdaq Composite was 5.8 per cent lower on the week at 2,627.94. Large-cap tech stocks, previously considered safe havens by investors, fell even more. The Nasdaq 100 shed 6.8 per cent to 2,034.30, its worst weekly sell-off since April 2002.

"The breadth of this year's rally in tech has been narrow, only 25 per cent of tech companies have outperformed the index," said Jack Ablin, chief investment strategist at Harris Private Bank. "If the economy really slows down and inflation picks up, this is a group of sitting ducks."

The slide in tech stocks was sparked by Cisco Systems, whose chief executive said "dramatic year-on-year decreases in orders" from big banks could slow growth. Its stock fell 12.1 per cent at $28.58 on the week.

Investors view Cisco as a bellwether for the technology sector and the comments sparked a big sell-off. The S&P 500 closed down 1.7 per cent Friday at 1,453.70, its lowest in two months and 3 per cent lower for the week. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 3.4 per cent on the week at 13,042.74 points.

My opinion on markets generally:

Some good value stocks are beginning to appear, but too early to assume market correction is over. So time to short 'sitting ducks' until more definite signs of capitulation. Could be wrong, but trends often slower moving than you expect- correction took a while to start, and will probably take longer to finish
