02/5/2020 13:57 | I hope this is the last time that AAU reqired blind trust from its shareholders. As if it becomes a habit it is a no go for me. blind trust on "partner", "JV small print", where exactly 25 mil will be going next(as this is important to decide if I would vote on JV go ahead or not). I do not get it why not being open at this stage (to some general degree)? | kaos3
02/5/2020 13:48 | That is the problem when you join the party a little late, you loose the benefit of "context" when reading these articles. At the time of the report no one on this board was in any doubt what the true situation was. | thanksamillion
02/5/2020 11:16 | Not seen this article before and I'd say the language is pretty misleading. It is only a few months old and very clearly says we are sitting on a 30m pound cash pile (pounds not dollars). Always happy to trust Biggles' word on it though given what we know about his holding and communication with the company. On another point, it is a great story that I don't think Ariana make enough of as it says a LOT about Kerim. Think they should milk it a bit more. | rumpus1
02/5/2020 11:11 | I don't accept this wanting to remain anonymous thing. How many major Turkish construction businesses are there? I suspect most people in that world know who the partner is. Without knowing anything about that sector isn't the most likely explanation that they may have trouble at their end, whether funding issues, a major project losing money, who knows? | mad foetus
02/5/2020 10:38 | Konil the cap ex debt is now clear which will result in profit of the order of £1m per month to AAU. Kerim invested £35000 in a lithium project and turned this into £3m a couple of years ago to help with mine costs. Part of the excitement of the deal is $30m cash will give $5 m indicated dividend to shareholders and $25m to utilise . Their exploration success via modern technology and utilisation of satellites KS developed at Southampton in locating minerals is second to none in the industry in terms of $ per ounce exploration cost. This technology applied in Cyprus is very exciting (read Chesterfield resources latest rns it give a lot of info re Cyprus where we are buying in 50% of exploration company Venus minerals. A second mine is near the building stage this will be funded by debt presumably same bank as previous. If you want any further info just ask the board. No questions are stupid and it helps everyone understand. | bigglesbingham
02/5/2020 10:21 | The new partner wants to remain anonymous perhaps they don't want to raise awareness to their direct competition as to their strategic intent. I assume they weren't anticipating "hiding" it for so long but it is what it is. | bigglesbingham
02/5/2020 10:18 | 200m pal not 2p ha ha | bigglesbingham
02/5/2020 05:31 | A: title: NEXT STEPS "Looking ahead, Sener says that Ariana’s sitting on £30mln in cash, which he hopes to grow another tenfold into £300mln." I stress - "looking ahead , ... ", "sitting on " poetry tool - real (straight line) vs using parabole (curved line) - to express a thought and using future = 30 mil eg using " how to turn a £3 idea into almost £30mln" - why and how he got 3 GBP exactly?? they do not sit on cash either (in its true meaning) lol it is value that is going to be realised - soon I hope and in cash terms and in both 30 and 300 targets all imho | kaos3
02/5/2020 04:53 | “We’re sitting on £30mln in cash, and hope to grow another tenfold,” says Sener. ? | konil
01/5/2020 21:18 | Back to 2p? - dont be a moron ...please leave this board alone | steviec1
01/5/2020 20:27 | Never had £30m in cash and don't now. | soulsauce
01/5/2020 19:46 | been doing a bit more reading...seems aau have £30m cash in the bank (dec 2019)? if correct, for me that's a wow! one of the reasons i bought in was the company going debt free...didn't twig they already had £30m. may soon be followed with $30m if new jv goes ahead. sorry for the newbie stuff, just getting stuck in. do they still have that £30m? or has it been spent in the interim? any comments on the cash position from the cognoscenti here? | konil
01/5/2020 19:42 | I can not get my gut feeling around the term "prospective partner". I can not remember ever a Co using such a "hide" for such a long time? WHY? transparency, inviting local and international discussions, inviting other competitive bids atc. just can¨t digest it lol uneasy about it | kaos3
01/5/2020 19:35 | To buy at 2p. If only. In your dreams. | plasybryn
01/5/2020 19:20 | What was I saying about a great bulletin board . My predictions obviously ain't always right!! Have great weekend peeps that rns today was a cracker vein down to 200m. When that sinks in along with tarsvan along with debt free kiziltepe along with Cyprus along with ..... and so on. I'll be adding . | bigglesbingham
01/5/2020 18:38 | Check out the morons posting history, tells you all you need to know. Must be a village missing one somewhere. | soulsauce
01/5/2020 18:03 | Back to 2. | texaschaser
01/5/2020 17:27 | I was surprised this dipped again. Didn't have the cash the last time it dipped but do now so happy to have another chance to add at 3.125p. and I'll add a few more below 3p given the chance. as I've said before AAU currently offers a great 2-way bet. I put delays in movement on the "new deal" as probably down to lawyers - let's face it they are slow enough in normal times. OR, perhaps issues with the business of the new partner due to covid are also quite possible; if they are not already in mining then maybe their existing business is in lock-down whereas miners aren't. assuming also the deal as described looked good to New Partner some months ago, it must look even better now, to the extent that adjustment of terms (in AAU's favour) seems a possibilty. in the meantime AAU continues merrily on, and the delay in finalising a deal may mean AAU receiving a dividend from the ongoing (and now debt-free) operation prior to such finalisation. | backmarker
01/5/2020 17:22 | Was in 10 years ago, and out, back in and out, now I'm more risk adverse and not so hot headed, grown up a bit, I do more research and this one I've been building on steadily over the last year, to a point where it gets very exciting for me, the more I look, the more I like, I believe there is a lot more to this one then meets the eye, and even if i'm wrong with my 'hunch' about KS's plans for the future, there is still the glaringly obvious fundamentals, that in my humble opinion make this a steal at anything below 3.5p and even at that level I'm probably being greedy! not bragging just happy, (and excited for a change) have a great weekend guys and must say this is one of the most interesting boards I've had the pleasure to participate this. | renniks2016
01/5/2020 16:43 | Not sure how long you've been in here renniks2016 but we ALL believe you have made a good investment here. Not many companies you can post a remark like that on a BB without getting a good slagging off from the neigh sayers. | thanksamillion
01/5/2020 16:37 | Just out of curiosity I've calculated that if you exclude the major share holders I have 2% of outstanding! so up to my chest and looking forward to getting up to my neck if we dip below 3p on the bid. but not today. | renniks2016
01/5/2020 15:27 | This is all creating a platform at around 3p I'm comfortable with price action | bigglesbingham
01/5/2020 15:21 | Good buy-in/top-up op. I am already up to my neck in AAU, even after my top slice, which was done for my own reasons. | thanksamillion
01/5/2020 15:03 | The pattern of small sells looks like a top slice recommendation by press | bigglesbingham |
