27/2/2020 15:45 | Looks like the price will be discounted even further so I'm holding on for now. | charles clore
27/2/2020 14:43 | I've just been topping up gradually so if I intend to top up say 450k I'll do a third now third tomorrow etc. Compromise is name of game | bigglesbingham
27/2/2020 13:24 | Absolutely Biggles, the bargains are beginning to appear, but as you say they will disappear even faster than they appeared ! Should i top up now or wait a bit is the question ? Wait a bit i think or maybe now hmmm. | swallowsflysouth
27/2/2020 12:16 | The way I look at this is markets are tanking cos of Coronavirus so gold and silver will only go one way. This can only be good for AAU. Potential deal giving cash equating to market cap. No cap ex loan in two months. The 6% fall is on trades of £25000 only therefore the fall is not logical and as such I feel the bounce will be dramatic . On that basis I added at 2.88. Fortunately I've seen this behaviour over thirty years but what I've argued is logical. Admittedly markets can be illogical but in my experience only over a short term . Anyway good luck all!! | bigglesbingham
26/2/2020 18:04 | Showing the same risk as the UK. What a vote of confidence. | plasybryn
26/2/2020 17:11 | Not in the scheme of things. The 650k trades were bed isa | bigglesbingham
26/2/2020 16:50 | MdV must be confident he is going to get something from all this shuffling of shares as it's costing him a bob or two. | soulsauce
26/2/2020 15:59 | Which Countries are the Least and Most Risky for Miners? Check out our new Mining Risk Heat Map which ranks each country in the world from least to most risky. sprott.com/investor- | plasybryn

26/2/2020 11:43 | Valid point there. | gaddy88
26/2/2020 11:18 | 2007/8 was a liquidity crisis and so everything suffered initially. This isn't and so I would expect a flight to profitable companies as soon as dust settles | mad foetus
26/2/2020 11:13 | If the wider market collapses pretty much every sector goes down initially, including gold miners (and gold). As I recall, in 2007 the only asset that rose at first was the dollar (maybe JPY as well). Shortly after gold and gold miners disconnected from the wider market and shot up. | jc2706
26/2/2020 11:12 | I was just looking at how markets in or near affected areas have faired. Trying to bring some logic behind it all and that's the best I could muster haha | gaddy88
26/2/2020 11:09 | Can't see that. It's general fear regarding Coronavirus but logically it shouldn't affect AAU in negative way. In fact should be positive due to gold being a safe haven . MMs playing the market . I agree top up opportunity | bigglesbingham
26/2/2020 11:01 | Although small, the eastern north Turkey borders Iran and with 'news' there sketchy, could be why we have took a knock. | gaddy88
26/2/2020 10:42 | Seems like a great top up opportunity | charles clore
26/2/2020 10:26 | Hsoohw?Or Moob? | shortarm
26/2/2020 10:22 | Whats the opposite of whoosh? | charles clore
26/2/2020 10:03 | Crazy price action given where the gold price is but all the market is getting whacked and we are going down on low volume. | soulsauce
26/2/2020 08:45 | Surely selling at 3.2p isn't topslicing when it was 3.6p a few days ago lol | shortarm
25/2/2020 15:58 | I think rns is badly worded I believe he has freed up cash in pension then basically sold outside pension which creates cgt liability but then used cash in the pension to purchase. He is clearly trying to get as much in tax free vehicles for the dividend payment. You wouldnt sell in pension to buy outside. | bigglesbingham
25/2/2020 15:51 | Yes that makes sense. | thanksamillion
25/2/2020 15:43 | What about bed & isa, virtually instantaneous? From the internet “ A Bed & ISA is a way of transferring assets into an ISA so that future investment growth and income is sheltered from tax. ... However, the process involves selling the investments and then buying them back within the ISA wrapper - so the sale crystallises any gain or loss made for capital gains tax (CGT) purposes.” | uknighted
25/2/2020 15:34 | Why would Michael want to do that he move shares the other way recently? I believe that if you sell shares and buy them back within a given time ( i believe it is one month) then you cannot claim CGT relief on original sale. Not sure of exact rules buy I have had to delay repurchases in the past because of it. | thanksamillion |
