I don't think the parties are hanging about; ie deal & dividend could be announced sooner than Feb 2020.

Diversifying the political/regional/product risk by monitising half of the Turkish operation and using part of the cash to kick the Cypriot/Copper/gold operation into life is a big positive to me. Not saying the said risk is reduced but at least it is split between Turkey/Cyprus and Gold/Copper.

Copper by the way, has done exceedingly well since the deal was reported and generally speaking its share price goes counter to golds so they should balance each other off to some extent as the business develops.

What a great report. I think the fact that it is a three way JV is perfect as it keeps everyone in check. Looking forward to a very good 2020 for Ariana investors!

I agree completely with the MoU comments. It's why I greeted the initial announcement as promising. I was genuinely surprised when the price spiked (wasn't complaining though). Personally I think it's best to step back for a while and let the company do the necessary. This way, if and when we do receive details of a firm agreement, then there should be a proper lift in the share price? One that can be sustained (I hope). There doesn't seem too much point in trying to debate details when there are none. Happy New Year to all when it comes!

CC,

Frameworks and terms can be pretty loose!

If the framework is agreed then it's only the terms that have to be agreed.

'The framework is agreed', if the MoU comes to pass it seems fair to assume that the details will not drastically change, assuming this goes ahead. So it seems reasonable that it is creating debate. If it does proceed I do not necessarily think it means we will see answers to questions currently being asked.
