If it doesn't move the SP, then we will probably see more shorter term traders move on.

I would put my money on a RNS re Government approval on Tuesday 19th January 2021. I recon MDV's exuberance is due to just getting the approval and they will need Monday to sort the RNS. But I have been wrong in the past!

14 months and still waiting since the JV announcement.... I don’t believe that’s impatience!
Still Blue Monday, the gloomiest day of the year is nearly over, so only onwards and upwards from now!

I have been in many shares where there have been background sellers mooted. A number of times there were, indeed, background sellers, the evidence being large trades reported followed by a TR1.

More often though it is just normal retail trading. When you consider the investing time frame for investors on AIM, a static share price for a few months is often used as an excuse to sell. Impatience is an investors worst enemy.

Onehanded be careful with projects in Tanzania especially if the government is involved. Look at the experience kibo had with their mbeya power project. The government used them then dumped them.

pharm,

Of cource you are right - my comments were slightly tongue-in-cheek.

The age thing is also correct. Being in my 70s with my pensions taking care of our cost of living, luxuries come out of dividends and capital gains. With the bulk of FTSE100 dividends stopped or reduced this year, capital gains have become even more important and I really cannot afford to have many tens of thousands of pounds tied up in a company whose shares are not moving.

Is that not precisely the circular reason why the share price remains range bound, people drip drip away as patience is in ever more limited short supply in the moden world

You could be right Jaf but equally you can’t dismiss them as myths because you can’t prove they are!
From your previous posts, I believe like me you are at an age where you would like to see short to medium timelines for your returns on your investment.
I am increasingly pessimistic that with AAU this will be the case. The last 4/5 months have been tiresome.
I’ve still hung in with a hefty investment but my patience is wearing increasingly thin.
Each time I waiver I go back through Lottsgold excellent contribution. It is like a comfort blanket in my old age!

cool hand, not everyone is a short term trader. a holder of a year or more will be sitting on very good profits.

jaf, yup. imo mm games only happen if they are trying to work a large order for a favoured client otherwise they just try and maintain an orderly book and make their money on the spread.

Pharm,

That's exactly my point. It's like proving the non-existence of God. Hence the excuses are used so frequently as it is almost impossible to be disproved.

Hi Jaf. I’m intrigued. Pray, tell us where you would start finding that evidence?

There are two urban myths that can be found on nearly every bulletin board when the share price is stagnant or falling, especially AIM. The first is that there is a large seller in the background; the second is that the Market Makers are playing games.

Not surprisingly, no evidence is usually found to support either of these two propositions.
