Wow 6p+ never seen that before on here in the 20 years I have followed AAU. It reached 5p back in the exploration days when I had a couple of 100k and thought that was high so bailed out and banked, have been in a few times since production started but seem to take for ever to get to 2p. My last lot I dumped t 5p again but can't complain at the profit. Will look again later but fully invested just now.

The bid is up and down like a yoyo, the PG note may have attracted a wider base to AAU

Kev, some serious buys being worked - can sell 500,000 for 6.31

Strong price action today again. My fair valuation at the moment is closer to 20p but I'll take 10p for starters.

Crikey, just got in from a run, missed start of play today, looking good. If we get to 7p before the Ozaltin/Procces announcement this could shoot through double figures on the announcement imo.

I was being quoted 6.25 to sell - must be a decent buy in the background

My average was 1.7p until a couple of weeks ago when I topped up and took it to just over 2p.

Wow not sure there will be many with an average at 1p. Majority of mine were 1.6p but I have pushed the average up a bit with a few small (mostly poorly timed) sells and purchases

Thanks Base7,
1p well beats my original average of approx 1.7p, but fortunately AAU seemed a very safe bet back yonder years so acquired over 3m. That was a very decent stake for me but I know others have holdings that make that look small fry.

AAU are very well positioned whichever of the two routes it takes, tho I have a definite preference, but £180,000 in one company for me is far too much for my portfolio, but I will have no regrets even if AAU double or triple from here, which I hope it does.

Can't fault your strategy Temujiin & a free ride on 2 mill shares is a fantastic outcome & excellent rationale for why people sell.
My shares were bought years ago for 1p & I haven't sold any but I am not overweight.

put the money here, same sort of returns in due course with almost infinitely better odds!

That's been my hope in that positive rnss precede the deal finalisation. Worked a treat today. Said I had a gut feeling it would go to above 6 drop back then finish strongly. Think I'll put money on lottery tonight ha ha .

People sell for a variety of reasons. I've been selling in the 5's as I was getting way way too overweight in AAU and I also wanted to take my stake money out. I've a small amount left to sell once the share price gets around 6.35p and that will leave me with 2m effectively free shares.

therefore the leg should be up to about 6.75ish

the au price has been consolidating for over a month now. if the next upswing is in progress when aau announce the jv it could give the reaction an even bigger boost than anticipated. just hoping.

Who ever is selling at this price must be desperate for cash or not the best investor?

Looks like MMs dredging for stock today. Plenty of sellers but the price undaunted. It's up from here imho.

Exactly , deal needs to be right but we are massively undervalued on current basis so happy to see price rise.

Anyone on the know tried to establish our current financial position. There must be lots of cash floating around at JV level? We are due an update soon I'd imagine?

We also need to be aware that as the completion of the agreement drags on, one could reasonably assume (on the basis that all cash, at the time of signing, in the current JV is distributed between the current owners prior to execution, and that is, I suppose, not a 100% given). This perhaps means that we are happily extracting Oz's share of the existing gold reserves.

Edit.
With credits to Paul who managed to say much the same thing in the previous post, which snook in whilst I was writing this.
