Please can we have the link. Thanks |
Meetings dawn to dusk at 121 - you should all watch this interview.Even CIamaNob. |
Visible gold.... |
Further to the post from Xow below - an interview with Kerim also just out! |
Saw this on the LSE SVE board from end of Jan. Veracity unconfirmed!
"Received a reply from one of their associates Ciada Brennan. Basically just referred me to their most recent statement from 10th January which really doesn't tell me anything we didn't already know. Key points noted below but still no firm date.
Company held shares in AAU it has been necessary to sell £97k worth so far to discharge liabilities of liquidation.
6.6 million held but further may need to be sold to settle final costs.
AAU shares will be distributed in specie to members, documentation will be sent to members detailing the distribution once this has been declared. I am currently liaising with share registrars to progress final distribution. |
This was last years Zimbabwe news where they increased the allowance from 60% to 75%, seems to me they are trying to find the correct balance! . Last year, the central bank raised the foreign currency retention threshold for exporters to 75%. Previously, exporters were only allowed to retain 60% of their foreign currency earnings, leading to challenges in accessing forex for vital capital expenditures and operational financing. |
In Mentor we trust. |
13 thousand ounces at Slivova provides more gold to Ariana than Tavsan does (23,5 percent of 30K). Also, the study was done at just 1835 dollars per Oz- they should recalculate!! . positive PEA was announced (6.9.2023) for average gold production of 13koz for seven years, generating an NPV8% of 29% using a gold price of $1,835/oz and a capex of $33.4m. |
Meanwhile in a happier location (WTR): Separately at the Cecelia-Popova-Lluzhan licence float, samples assayed high levels of gold and silver, up to 20g/t gold and 684g/t silver. |
Potentially more damaging than the 26% levy. If some posters remember I did bring up the forex issue many months ago. That is what did for Uog in Egypt. |
Nov31,
That's a massive obstacle!
This highlights the risks in taking over a project located in Zimbabwe.
IMO Ariana should have kept on the path they had promised their shareholders, stayed in the safer European jurisdictions, and paid dividends as promised.
This Zimbabwe adventure may prove to have been too risky, especially if the retention policy isn't reversd in Zim. It will surely be very tough to finance whilst the 70% policy is in place? |
Would it be unkind to mention that the price of gold has gone up ? |
And the bid drops... |
Thanks for the useful info xow. Another obstacle. |
1m shares is only about £30 nowadays |
Late showing 1m buy that did the trick |
It's because the price of gold has gone down....... |
Nice lift today. |
Ariana Resources – “Excellent New Drilling Results at Dokwe”, Buy Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced assay results from five geotechnical holes from its Dokwe gold project in Zimbabwe and that “importantly, one of the drill holes confirms the presence of significant gold mineralisation occurring within an area now referred to as the Eastern Zone, demonstrating considerable strike continuity of over 270m for this zone alone, in addition to pointing towards the further depth extent of the deposit”. This is further good news from this project then and, from a current still below £35 million market cap at a 1.8p share price, it really is not in the price. What would be nice would be another deal like the recent Newmont funding to come from this Exhibition to provide the funding for Dokwe, and at a similar premium to todays share price
Current shareholders - now possibly maxed out after years of adding only to be disappointed, suggests any rights issue would be difficult, there is the stated option of a AUS dual listing, but I now suspect the management would prefer a new shareholder in the form of a big miner (or two..maybe even or Turkish partners), who would understand better the ups and downs. |
