That’s unfortunately inevitable chaps, but I know who I listen too and read, over the past few years (present company included), and will stick with them. Filter will come into it’s own in the months to come.

All views are quite valid, which is why this is such an excellent board. Should AAU take off I fear this may not remain so. At least for a while, lets hope not.

The assumption is they are accurately valued and the profit increase is significantly higher percentage therefore bigger effect on shareprice. I'd argue with cost so much lower with AAU the share price should be much higher but tbh it was more pointing out some good points in the interview.

Yep get that but there's an assumption the start point is accurate , I'd argue starting point of share price for AAU is well undervalued based on their fundamentals.

Thanks Rumpus,

This is a very good short presentation on First mining gold.

TBH, I’ve always been rubbish at valuing mining and exploration stocks. But excellent at gold and silver bull market turning points!!

But absolute increase in profit (which is what matters) is still 300usd/oz in both cases.

Afewbob - I'd say that Keith Neumayer is an incredible marketeer. 1st Majestic has a very wide uptake in the US. No idwa about this mine though.

bb

Just to expand on your post ???885.

A miner with a much higher cost base than AAU will benefit more from an increase in pog.

ie. pog at $1700 /oz
AAU gross profit $1100 /oz
Botswana gross profit $600 /oz

at $2000 /oz
AAU gross profit $1400 /oz = + 300/1100 = 27%increase
Galane gross profit $900 /oz = +300/600 = 50%increase.

You wish ha ha. Can't see news re JV deal for few weeks post Ramadan. Suits me as the price is rising nicely on sentiment and so it should , the higher the price prior to a positive announcement the better cos as I have said I feel 30-40% increase on day of positive announcement. Re and announcement saying the deal is no longer in AAU interests the fundementals still scream significantly higher share price than 4.2 as backed up by very conservative Panmure gordon note I believe.

The company was Galane gold which was up 16% Friday. Their fundamentalsfontcappear to be anywhere near ours with all in cost $1100 compared to our 5-600.

Just managed to sign up to share prophets have to say some nuggets on there pardon the pun. This afternoon interview with Ravi Snood who runs similar size mining producer to AAU but Botswana and South Africa based. Very persuasive arguments why you'd invest in small gold producers. Obviously there's self interest in his comments but they are very reasoned arguments and explaining why 4p becoming 16p and beyond (he mentions cents becoming pounds) is not unreasonable and that's based on gold price alone and without the action we've got going on. The interview was on palisade . Cheers

Next twelve months easily double figures without the jv,the more I learn about Cyprus the more I feel this could be really big so maybe the jv will enable us to get there much quicker

My personal share price forecast in the next 12 months is in the range of 12p to 16p, why?
Price of Gold and Silver, low costs per ounce, partnership creation and Salinbas developments, maiden dividend, $30 million cash plus ongoing mine revenue, institutional interest and growing investor base, developments in Cyprus with Venus minerals, more proven resource in Turkey. Call me a dreamer, but I'm not the only one!
