28/1/2020 16:10 | Who will will the gold cup??? | bigglesbingham
28/1/2020 16:06 | I've had a flash of inspiration and can now reveal that, according to my crystal ball, AAU, Proccea and our new big engineering partner will be fast tracking Salinbas to become the biggest gold mine in Turkey and one of the largest in Europe. I have no doubt that we, as shareholders, will do very well out of it.. | charles clore
28/1/2020 11:35 | Going to be a long 5 weeks until the end of February unless we get an early sign off :-/ | soulsauce
28/1/2020 11:30 | About sums it up for me Biggles. | ironstorm
28/1/2020 10:15 | Spot on biggles, to-date no guide to valuation has been officially placed on our free carry, if it were to reach the market I believe sentiment will change for the better. However I also believe that broadcast of such information may be considered sensitive by our proposed new partner. | thanksamillion
28/1/2020 09:55 | Don't think people realise salinbas is too big to pursue by company alone. They have said it numerous times let alone with tarsvan. Even if they were to pursue every last penny would have to go into it for many years to come, there would be no payments back to shareholders for years and as such the share would not be attractive to the market for years to come. $56 m for salinbas was estimate years ago I'd expect it to be nearer $100m. If we did do it alone then we would be basically a one trick pony as all income would feed debt for a project which may come to fruition 5-10 years hence. Or you have dividends initial and ongoing say $5m , $25m to develop different projects, income stream $7m from kiziltepe, tarsvan and salinbas funded by debt arranged by new partner. Details need to be finalised but I know in my head which option will benefit shareholders via an increase in shareprice . To a certain extent we've seen the share move since the announcement which backs this up. | bigglesbingham
28/1/2020 09:34 | what about a lot of something big? | le0nard
28/1/2020 08:17 | One has to assume that the Directors know for sure that Salinbas must be huge to give away so much control and ownership. Better to have a little bit of something big than a lot of something small. | haut brion 58
28/1/2020 07:34 | Shortarm I am not sure but can't understand why anyone would give up that many shares at such a discount. Seems our tick down friend has taken a shine to you lol. | soulsauce
28/1/2020 07:20 | Hello again DJ, as mentioned I'm not implacably opposed to the proposed JV, but would like SH's to think hard about it in terms of what AAU are giving up as well as gaining, and whether in the medium and longer term this JV, reducing us to 23.5% across all it's operations in Turkey, is giving us best value for money. I need to be convinced that it is, and it's important the BoD and proposed JV partner don't assume SH's will rubber stamp a deal just for a short term fix. As for a share buy back, I like that when the share price is perceived to be too low, but don't want management to use that as a way to achieve share price rises to achieve their generous 'share options' strike price. I think share options should be bench marked taking into account of company market cap as well as share price, for a truer reflection of progress. | temujiin
28/1/2020 07:13 | The mystery down-ticker is up early. It's so nice to get some of her attention :-) | shortarm
28/1/2020 06:23 | What other form of wizardry do you think it might be Soul? Cos otherwise it baffles me! | shortarm
28/1/2020 03:49 | I'm with you once again, Temu, regarding the MOU and I have a similar percentage invested. I was musing whether any divvi we receive in due course should be used to buy more shares? Just a thought.... | desertjoe
27/1/2020 23:03 | I'd happily buy another 100k but AAU are already 35% of my shareholding, however I think whichever way the company goes, any share buys below 3p are highly likely to be well in the money by the end of the year. | temujiin
27/1/2020 22:00 | Well I picked up another 400000 Since 10:55 Friday morning - thank you whoever it was | bigglesbingham
27/1/2020 21:43 | It was from 10.55hrs on friday; looks like the MMs have been selling it since and creaming a profit. | mcmather
27/1/2020 21:41 | Hmmm not sure bigglesbingham. | soulsauce
27/1/2020 21:37 | I reckon a deal to do a quick sale. It explains all buys at 2.64-2.7 not moving the price. If I had to guess I'd say someone needed it to pay a tax bill prior to 31st jan so did a deal with mm to sell at 2.4 then mm sold at 2.64 -2-75 . Just supposition on my part | bigglesbingham
27/1/2020 21:24 | At the moment my mind feels open.....to pick-pocketism. I would love to be proven wrong. | 8rad
27/1/2020 21:19 | Not sure what that 9m is, not been 2.4p on the bid for a while. | soulsauce
27/1/2020 21:07 | Why be sceptical? What people need to do is decide what they want to see in the agreement and get prepared to question if it's not there. I think an open mind is a more appropriate response. Especially bearing in mind these guys have most to lose having built it up over 15 years. | bigglesbingham
27/1/2020 21:03 | I agree, I've asked very specific questions and I've been assured all will be revealed . I can't ask more than that. When details are announced we will no doubt have serious constructive debate. My view is that there will still be Unknown's due to nature of exploration but we will certainly be in better position for debate. | bigglesbingham
27/1/2020 20:52 | That's another 9 million plus into safer hands wanting a good return from here and above!Pretty good to see that trade and no doubt we'll move up from here.... | shortarm
27/1/2020 20:42 | Mcmather, that's a good way of putting it, ''jv with Proccea is nice, steady, profitable''. I like what we currently have, plus will have, what management have done so far and am happy with the steady expansion. Biggles you are probably right in that BoD will know this deal better than anyone and so it theory it should be good for shareholders. But it's important the BoD, and via them the proposed JV partner, know that shareholders can't be taken for granted that they will rubberstamp the deal just because management recommend it. It needs to be clear that selling up half of our profitable 10 year gold mine, plus half of Tasvan and satellites , plus 77% of Salinbas, is worth $30m plus $16m( inc Proccea contribution?) towards Salinbas. If it isn't a clear win for AAU shareholders, then I at least am minded to vote to just keep the ''nice, steady, profitable'' JV with Proccea. | temujiin
27/1/2020 20:00 | There seems to be an unhealthy amount of wing and a prayerism knocking about this BB at the moment. Until we know better surely scepticism must be the appropriate response to something which appears nothing less than a takeover bid at dubious price on current terms. | 8rad |
