No probs swallows; helps me keep up to date - yesterday's rns, whilst not spectacular, just added confidence.

Biggles, at the bottom of this post there should be options of PREVIOUS / TOP POSTS and one in the middle of GO TO. If you put the post number in the GO TO tab (and press return) it should take you straight to it.

Back in May 2012 they reported on Bonanza Grades discovered in Arzu Central. Biggles may know having visited the mine about this. I suspect this would have to be accessed from an underground mine, as I believe it is under a hill joining Arzu South to Arzu North.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

I suspect Kerim might wait to do a webcast until the Kizilcukur results are out so he can talk about the wider Resource strategy. That will be the results of the 746m of infill resource diamond drilling where 386 samples have been sent too ALS Global. We might even get a Resource update to follow.

I recall the report from the recent American Sq. meeting revealed Kerim was "excited by the potential of other parts of Kiziltepe and between Kiziltepe & Kizilcukur" . Not sure what this alludes too.

Increasing the Life of Mine and Resource/Reserve is a key element in raising investor confidence.

In my experience, share prices that rise gradually over time are more likely to hold onto those gains than the ones that soar overnight. A gradual change works for me in a steady period for gold prices. A roaring gold bull market would sweep all of that away of course.

Well I hope you are right Biggles! Think we share a similar philosophy with this share. A slow rise to return value without undue volatility. At least that gives a longer period to build the positions we want, I bought 500k at just less than 1.8 half way through today - was quite pleasing to see where we finished. Lets see what tomorrow brings.

I agree but I heard some management teams sing from the rooftops then come crashing down like HUM and those that sing but aren't heard or trusted perhaps such as SML. I'm a believer that the true value will be seen through fundamentals but yes this approach is a more time consuming route. However the steady rise I would argue reduces the volatility somewhat ie shooting up to 5p and then down to 1p as metal tiger has done historically. Some may want that volatility and play the share ( which exacerbates the situation) I don't I want steady rises based on sound fundamentals and sound management. Then if someone want to buy salinbas off us then fine. These results weren't shoot the lights out stuff but they will result in increased mine life. AAU has never move on good results resulting in extended mine-life because it's too long term to excite new investors or indeed existing. Now salinbas May be different let's hope so .

Plasybryn,

I don't believe that reserves require further drilling. They are just economically viable resources. As such they go through various tests (metallurgical, etc.) to assess that viability.

JaynesDad I think have a point but as ever today's Ariana RNS is understated.

I know many investors are happy with the conservative under promise over deliver approach but for a share that relies on the excitement of PI’s in the absence of institutional investment then I don't think that approach helps.

I have said it before but the company really need to find a better way to excite the market.

Now I am not saying you could have made that RNS today anymore exciting but I think some in the past could have been improved.

I'm still far from convinced that this should be perceived as a disappointment. These results were off everybodys radar, from what I understand they weren't even mentioned in last weeks meeting in London. We are expecting something reasonably exciting from Kizilcukur, that's different.
If people are expecting every RNS to begin 'Exceptional results at......' then they are probably in the wrong share. Kerims record is fantastic, but even MDV wouldn't claim he's the new King Midas

Thanks JC2706. I believe there are stimulate drilling requirements to satisfy a JORC classification. In fill drilling would be required to provide the proof to go up the scale from Inferred, to Indicated to Proven and Resource to Reserve. Is that correct?

Just a point around infill drilling as someone questioned what this was. When you first define an ore body you tend to use widely spaced holes to determine broadly where the mineralisation extends. These, however, are not considered to be sufficient to provide confidence that the mineralisation is contiguous and to more accurately determine the shape of the ore body. To do this you need tighter spacing on the holes which is where infill drilling comes in. These holes are filling in the gaps between holes already drilled. As such, it is not surprising to see similar results to holes already published.

JD - totally agree significantly undervalued and I believe a no brainer from hereon in.
Soul - I think the advantage of having a big named broker like Panmure Gordon will pay off in the long term. I would rather have PG on board now rather than have to look for one to promote Salinbas after the asset is proved up. Not long to go now before we should get some indication of where this is going. I'm happy to be invested here already and waiting. The seller/s are skimming off (taking profit perhaps?) at just under 2p and have been doing so for almost 3 years. Since around the time when the directors helped themselves and a few shareholders lost faith. Luckily for me and a few others they the sellers) took the price right down to 1.2p region. Can't imagine they would have many more to sell.

I see! I wish I could claim to be too young to remember the song, but unfortunately I'm not.
I, for one, decided to buy a few more this morning to take advantage of this dip. I see no reason to be pessimistic. My logic is that, although I don't expect the share to suddenly become a 5 bagger from these levels in the near future, I do think that the continuing development in Western Turkey puts a very solid floor under this share. A market value of £20m for the assets already known of, and the production/income generation being demonstrated, ensures that imo.

With the share price going down on what should be good news RNS it felt like our boat is coming
back to shore rather than setting off on its journey. Hence the play on "Michael row the boat ashore" a cheesey 60's gospel song.

I know, I must be mad, I blame following my investments too closely.

Charles unfortunately this company continues to suffer, as it always has, with lack of any big interest and at the whim of PI’S.

Hopefully interest on Salinbas will change that and that is what I have always hoped but I am not totally sold on it happening.

One of the big failures of the company is that it has never been able to garner that interest that will get this to fair value. They employed a broker to do that but they have fallen way short in support of this company.

Until that changes and while ever small shareholders are in charge here then the bigger gains we all hope for will not come.

Add to that the failure to diversify that they mentioned a long time ago and to find a way to return money to shareholders.

Soul - fair comment but this stock is still cheap based on earnings and market cap. Another year will see the price much better imho but getting the timing right is obviously difficult. I feel that some are going to miss the boat.
