24/10/2021 14:29 | Garofola does state $3000 BUT under certain assumptions relating to inflation not being transient , money coming back from crypto. My concern isn't inflation as I too believe that part is transient but part is not, crypto is volatile but is becoming more mainstream which may put prices back, no my concern regarding advancement of gold price is the market manipulation. Until this is properly addressed we won't see $3000. Imho. | ![]() bigglesbingham

22/10/2021 11:55 | My understanding is that all development of the new mines will be financed by loans which start being repaid once that mine goes into production so it should not impinge on Zenit's ability to continue paying dividends and by implication nor Ariana's. | ![]() paul280i

22/10/2021 11:38 | i reckon at the jv level profits accrue to partners on the basis of the share held i.e. 53%, 23.5%, 23.5%. in theory the majority shareholder (ozaltin) does not have claim to the 47% not owned by them, so not their decision what to do with it. bwdik. | ![]() konil
22/10/2021 11:33 | Well it seems that the JV is distributing profits from the current mine despite a loan (for bigger plant) and the fact that Tavshan will require money to build. They've already told us they're talking to banks about loans so it's UNUSUALLY PESSIMISTIC to suggest that no monies will be distributed in future....Jeez!!!! | ![]() shortarm
22/10/2021 11:22 | The answer to that would probably lie in a "Memorandum of Understanding" if there is such a document in this case. A document to which we shareholders are not privy. | ![]() thanksamillion
22/10/2021 11:05 | Won't it be up to the majority shareholder to decide / indicate the level of profits distribution to the 3 shareholders in the JV? They might choose to retain profits....as Salinbas development will cost such a large sum. | ![]() rjwoodrjwood
22/10/2021 10:32 | paul, that would be manageable. they would still be retaining about half the annual profits from kizil. what i'd really like to see is a regular dividend being paid in addition to the 2nd and 3rd tranches of the special dividend. there is no reason why not, except that the bod may decide not to. | ![]() konil
22/10/2021 10:19 | Konil, I wonder if the BOD are considering an annual dividend of .175p after the special dividend, it could easily be managed on your figures and I think would be acceptable to us LTH who would like a regular income after many years holding this share. | ![]() paul280i
22/10/2021 08:14 | Not great news over on HUM re contractor issues. Makes you realise what a superb operation we have here. In invested in HUM too so think I'm justified in bring up issues in that company. | ![]() bigglesbingham
21/10/2021 12:04 | kizil gives them enough visibility to do it now until tavsan and apliki come on stream. to be clear, i am not talking monster payouts, just an affordable modest payout with some (only some) of the annual profits from kizil. payouts could then be boosted significantly in coming years as tavsan, apliki, salinbas etc. come on stream. and after that (i.e. several years along) there will be other mines or other forms of income eg. royalties, profit sharing, etc. to provide ongoing income. meantime a portion of any large inputs to the company coffers (like the ozaltin jv) could be paid out as a special dividend. companies often do this when business has been good and they have surplus cash. so, how much might the regular dividend be now? keeping it simple, let's say kizil produces 21000oz/p.a. and profit is $1100 ($1700 - $600) = $23m of which aau get 23.5% = $5.4m = £3.9m. there are c.1092m shares, so that is annual profit from kizil of 0.36p/share. they could payout a conservative 0.12p/share and still retain 2.6m annual profit from kizil in company coffers. for investors buying in at today's offer price 5p, that is 2.4% dividend. they could even do this in addition to tranche 2 and 3 of the so-called special dividend, which would then make the so-called special dividend a real special dividend. and with intent to pay regular dividends clearly put in place with actual cash payout not just words, it would attract income seeking funds (pi and ii). | ![]() konil
21/10/2021 09:50 | konil, I dont believe they can do that just yet(confirm regular divis). There needs to be a confirmed, regular source of cash for that to happen and I dont believe the company is quite there yet, tho it is visible on the horizon. | ![]() thanksamillion
21/10/2021 09:44 | i'd go a little further and say i'd want them to ringfence some cash for small maiden distributions of regular dividend. its a small company and they have already got a good mix of early, mid and late stage development projects. with tavsan and apliki due to start producing revenues in 2 years there is no need to overreach now with too much cash guzzling, which they have so far been careful not to do. ks can satisfy his appetite for exploration with the work that will be coming out of asgard (including panther) and wtr and further work with venus. | ![]() konil
21/10/2021 09:29 | operationally, they have positioned the company extremely well. no doubt there are many details to be ironed out and arrangements with the various jv arrangements to be resolved. and more will come up as further agreements are entered into with the asgard fund and the remaining cash. ks has and will have his hands very full (probably requires the bod to be beefed up as has already been said on this bb) but i would like to see him work on plans for further cash distributions. its time we heard about the regular dividend policy. they kicked that can down the road earlier in the year under cover of the unpopular decision to tranche the special dividend into 3 with payments next year but surely they understand that their shareholders will not mistake tranche 2 and 3 for a regular dividend. in fact those payments will carry a little sour memory with them, a most unfortunate outcome for what should have been a magnificent win. so i'd like to see them start addressing the regular dividend policy. | ![]() konil

20/10/2021 16:48 | kaos3: Reference your earlier post. I love these quotes Kerim articulated to a journalist earlier in the year. “Develop the companies strategy to target a further ten-fold multiplication in market capitalisation within the next decade” “I now see no obstacles to achieving our next target by 2030 and I encourage our shareholders to support this vision.” “We look forward to advancing the joint venture capable of unlocking the full value of our assets in Turkey, which will also target the development of a future pipeline of high-value production projects. It is the goal of the Partners to become one of the premier gold mining companies operating in Turkey." "the Co. is positioning itself to exploit the exciting “green” energy related opportunities which are expected to become ever more central and supportive to global carbon neutral objectives and will include as a minimum silver and copper." Salinbas - “Elephant in the room” Dr. A. Kerim Sener, C.E.O. says “focused on turning the possible into reality”. What a golden opportunity for Kerim to communicate this wider vision and enthusiasm for the business to shareholders (current and future investors). It was a shame he choose not to expand on these statements and discuss them more openly and in more depth with shareholders. For the first time we had a proper vision (or goal if you like) and since then the start of the strategy to get us there. | ![]() plasybryn
