26/4/2021 10:47 | My view it the payment of divi will coincide with other news which will warrant investment on its own accord but we will see. | ![]() bigglesbingham
26/4/2021 10:15 | having overcommitted here (and currently in the red) i for one will not be reinvesting the divi even if i am in the black by then. i need to reduce commitment here and also need cash for other things! my overcommitted stance was based on a different scenario/timeline to what has actually occurred. so if it spikes unrealistically upon announcement of divi i may even take opportunity to reduce a little pre-divi. long term aau appears to be a sound holding and may even turn out to be spectacular. with hopefully a soon to follow regular dividend policy, aau seems to offer something for all tastes - divi for income seekers, organic growth for fundamental/value investors, blue sky potential for thrill seekers. so i do not intend to exit in toto. there must be others who have their own reasons for holding but who also require some return, so i'm not entirely convinced that a large percentage of divi will necessarily flow back. after jv completion (mid feb) i did think we were in for a spell of no/slow news and that has been the case, but that now brings us ever closer to next substantive operational news, so what may well happen is that news of operational progress could propel the share price even in absence of divi reinvestment. here's hoping. | ![]() konil
26/4/2021 09:46 | At the moment I think the buying more shares with the divvy payment is being overplayed. A few things need to start changing before I put more money in here as we have discussed on here over recent weeks. The apathetic style of communication and overly conservative news releases for starters. | ![]() soulsauce

26/4/2021 08:48 | If anything the share price will rise by the amount of the divi when announced and may drop by that amount when it goes ex divi, then as Biggle says will raise again when the divi is paid out as many reinvest. | ![]() paul280i
26/4/2021 08:27 | I think the size of dividend (large)will mean that many will reinvest at this low price so any drop bc will be short lived. It's certainly not proved in imho | ![]() bigglesbingham

26/4/2021 07:54 | Am I right in thinking that when the special div gets paid, we'll see a corresponding drop in the share price unless we get news at the same time? | ![]() 2vdm
26/4/2021 07:47 | The amount of pent up news is going to have to start flowing soon..so frustrating but i've given up expecting news now. Looking at the Copper price i'm looking forward to some news on Salinbas exploration and Cyprus results. Could generate a lot of interest near term | ![]() lottsgold

25/4/2021 10:44 | Just goes to show how difficult things can be, if you don't have very good relationships and strong influential partner's on board, 11 years and no production. So all credit to KS and team Ariana for getting us where we are today! Perhaps we should take 3 the Alamos sites forward instead! Alamos Gold to file $1B claim against TurkeyAlamos Gold is set to file an investment treaty claim in excess of US$1 billion against the Turkish government over its alleged failure to approve licences for the company's Kirazl? gold project.Alamos History in TurkeyAlamos has been working in Turkey since 2010. Since then, we have been engaged in consultation with various government ministries and local communities, while working on a multi-year environmental review and community consultation process. Alamos was granted approval of the Environmental Impact Assessment, Forestry Permit, GSM and Operating Permit from the relevant regulatory authorities. These permits were granted after passing a rigorous environmental review process, and securing the support from local communities.Economic BenefitsAlamos' projects in Turkey are expected to create over 2,000 jobs in Turkey, between direct and indirect employment. Additionally, these Turkish projects are expected to generate substantial economic benefit to the Turkish economy. Over the course of fifteen years, we anticipate production of over 1.8 million ounces of gold in Turkey, with most of the economic benefit remaining in Turkey. In addition to over US$1 billion in capital and operating costs, over US$500 million in tax, royalty and other revenues will accrue to the Turkish state | ![]() renniks2016
