I'm in a bit of dilemma myself. I had 2m shares with a lovely low average of 1.1p, but when the markets caved in last March, I sold 3/4 of my shares to buy a few of the bombed out shares the market gifted us. My plan was to buy my original Ariana holding back at somewhere close to where a I sold them, but in pretty quick fashion they were on the rise and the pullback I hoped for never happened. I've since bought back 500k at 4.75p, and now I'm tempted to have some more, but this relentless selling looks like taking them down even further.Does anyone have any thoughts on when the merger will now complete? I can't see any recent guidance.

last summer, which seems an age away now (certainly aau has caused me to age more than the passage of calendar months might suggest!), i expected jv done and divi paid by early/mid q4 even allowing for the share reorg which had been mentioned but not detailed. my mistake but the tone of rns's seemed more 'near term' than has transpired.

my expectation changed to year end or even jan/feb. yet here we are mid feb, almost a month after receiving the last required govt clearance and they are unable to even announce jv completion. they had plenty of time to get ducks lined up and do all the required translating, multiple copies, this that and the other especially as we are told the terms of the deal are staying the same. and forget the divi, after the latest news re. court dates etc. that is seemingly months away still .

ho hum.

Market cap 45m to receive 27m plus what the current JV has make this a silly price but the sellers are not concerned about this. Starvest has reduced holdings and have close ties to Bruce Rowens estate. Hence I think these are the sellers and unrelated to the fundamentals of the company. A seller has a finite amount of stock.

Lottsgold,

Slightly O/T

Could you please reduce the size of the copper graph very slightly ? It is just a bit too wide for my browser which means I now have to scroll right or left for some posts.

Thanks

If it closes around this price we might have a double bottom in and may be a bounce back up. Ok straws and clutch comes to mind :-/

Anyone with more than a million shares in AAU (of which I am one) is down more than £20,000 since last October. I cannot speak for others but that is a very large amount for me.

Yes, it was my choice to buy the shares but I expected the company to behave in a more investor-friendly manner. I do feel let down.

i know its not the same for those comfortably in profit but the red in my holding is getting very painful...think i should have reduced upon seeing latest info which pointed to the long wait ahead for the divi, awaiting the share account reorg.

certainly don't understand the ongoing delay in announcing completion of jv...unbelievably after receiving all external govt clearances the share price has retreated significantly!

hope i'm wrong but imo little chance of getting operational news on new initiatives either as i guess everything new is on hold until jv signed off. and in absence of news ta takes over in people's minds and the chart looks awful!

holding on for time being and hoping for at least stability and an end to this drip drip drip.

what are they up to?

I think their q and a was clear. Problem is there is no promotion . When the promotion company suggests promoting is ramping it raises concerns. But again the fundamental of company great but promotion limited to ineffectual tweets is ridiculous .

It's just 'traders' on the OMG it's going down must sell bandwagon.....They'll jump back in a lot faster when it all kicks off...... I thought about swapping a few out last week as I though people would do this to themselves- trouble is I couldn't find anywhere better to put it!!

The reason given for the share buyback doesn't add up / seems disingenuous. It seems to have created more sellers than buyers.

I put my views down last night if there's a seller there's a seller. Be interested to see who marked those views down.

I'm with ii, quite happy with them, I have never had to email them. I know there are others on here who are with ii, perhaps they have experience of communicating with them. £10 pm with one free trade per month. If you dont use the trade credit within a few months it expires. They also provide a good research facility.
