Konil correct a closed period would typically be a month before material news.

Selling shares and getting option shares is about managing risk. As he works there the risk is far higher than us share holders.

Certainly leaving a sour taste in everyone's mouth, not what you want to see with all the tension already built up...will certainly dislodge some more loose holders, feel the timeline has slipped again but it's out of Kerims control, if they had an update they would love to tell us, they are clearly hoping any day could be the day. They need to start pushing and making deadlines if it's no delays because of the government or they could drag this on for another year...

JAF I would normally agree, but this is normal with AAU. No urgency around any comms, they always announce a timeline then leave it until right to the wire (or past it). Familiar pattern that the share price drops in the last few days too, likely because people start to second guess the news.

Lots about! The 100k @ 5.645 showing as sell, is a buy. Tree shake coming? ?

AAU is now down around 10% in a week. And not just any week, a week before significant news has been promised. I don't believe in coincidences.

actonovator, so price sensitive news events (like a jv) are not subject to close periods? hope that's the case, which means jv news could still come any day!

And selling to an institution means drip feeding into market doesn't affect price. Only a bit of manipulation Friday.

I suspect Konil is referring to the announcement we are waiting for. I believe closure periods relate to scheduled announcements like full and half year results. If companies become privy to new info it is not intended they sit on it until the next open period.

isn't there a 'close period' for director dealings? does this mean there will not be a jv announcement until the close period ends?

I think it not unreasonable to assume that KS used his options and subsequent buying/selling as a means to realise cash without spooking the market too much, it was quite a canny way to go about this I suppose.

If the JV RNS comes this week, then all these dealing are fine IMO.

If it doesn't come or announces another delay, then it doesn't look quite so innocent to me.

The timing is frustrating but Kerim probably had plans for that money a lot earlier this year and has had to take the plunge. Not what I was hoping to see but he's earnt the right to move his investments around. If he sells anymore I will start to get worried but I can't see that happening after 'increasing' his holding at this price. Think it means we won't see dividends this year though...not been the year I'd hoped here.

Accordingly, Dr. Sener has increased his personal holding by 553,487 Ordinary Shares (excluding Aslan Capital Limited). Dr. Sener now has interests in 17,985,526 Ordinary Shares in the Company, representing a holding of 1.68% of the enlarged issued share capital after the exercise of options referred to above.Like stated, house keeping by both KS and M D'v if you are going to see big increase in valve and divided, then best place is SIPP and ISA. Only a matter of time, as we keep reminding each other!

Importantly he topped his SIPP up on the 26th after the disposal on 23rd so why would you top up if there was anything amiss.

LOL unknighted. Truthfully though he probably has sold some for a personal need like buying a house. And why not - he's worked hard for a number of years to get the company where it is - he's entitled to topslice a few just like the rest of us?

Kerim has said all his pension is in AAU stock and I assume bulk of savings . Logical therefore to exercise warrants and sell an amount to institution to de risk his position. Many on here may be in similar boat but big difference is AAU is kerims job as well and if something adverse was to happen then the risk to him is much greater. My view as to why now is that the institution has said they want to conclude prior to JV announcement

Panic not, it is quite obvious, he has sold to raise cash to buy some Ariana branded clothing.

Yes, 3.8m or so onto the open market on Friday - but the 5m onto the open market as well seems unlikely - but kinda doubt to an institution

Has KS facilitated a transfer of a considerable holding to an institution?
Where have those shares gone? Not into the open market it seems as if it was your average investor selling those volumes (even if they could) the share price would have been clobbered with a large overhang of shares. But right now the share price is more or less stable and the spread is low. Interesting.
