5% of something for doing nothing, Zero risk. Sounds like a good deal to me. £5million revenue at no expense = 100% profit margin. couldincrease as oil price returns to highs.

This is what happens when you don't have a discovery under your belt . Bor was always the safer bet out of the two . If you want exposure to the Falklands with huge risk/reward , I know what I would do !!!

Anyway , I feel sorry for those that bought in , learn from it and move on IMHO .

Have you read ongoing strategy? In addition to its existing interest in the Licence through the ORRI, the Company has an agreement over an area of mutual interest ("AMI") with a third party covering unlicensed acreage to the north of the Licence Area which is not subject to the Transaction and within which it has acquired proprietary 3D seismic data. The Company intends to further evaluate the seismic data obtained with a view to a decision on applying either on its own or jointly with a third party for new licences within the AMI.In addition, there is unlicensed acreage elsewhere offshore the Falkland Islands and the Company expects that there will also be acreage which is currently licensed but which may have to be relinquished over the next few years under the terms of the Falkland Islands licensing regime. The Company has access to seismic data over many of these areas and intends to review this unlicensed acreage and to constantly monitor relinquished acreage as it becomes available with a view to potentially applying for new licences on areas considered prospective from these ongoing efforts.

It means ARG is a longer term hold at least. I think Traders tried to move it this am, but there isn't enough substance today. But when the drill bit starts, it might be different, though it may drift meanwhile.

Plenty of unknowns, not least the presence of oil, but for the Rhea stack alone the estimate of between 449 and 1463 million barrels would at today's price give a total royalty payment of between $1150 and $3700 million wouldn't it? With a relatively tiny market cap. Obviously all subject to the economics of production etc.

I'm a total amateur and I'm sure this is too simplistic. What have I missed?

Whats the potential barrels of oil?
Argos keep 5% gross revenues (if any)of the licence area.

The market Might get interested when the drill starts.

FOGL far more massive and only a few weeks away from what could be a second successful result?

Wordog - As I read the agreement ARG get 5% of gross revenues rather than 5% of production profits. Makes a big difference.

For a company whose market cap is just pocket money, surely this is a great deal, data as convincing as any in this business, running costs funded, no need to raise capital, money just rolls-in in the success case, and residual possibilities in the background. You just have to be bold enough to buy and hold.

Great news. I always thought ARG would find oil. This was always a brilliant prospect.
Looking over a few past posts I see chrisoil was gloating at the lack of movement here, here is some of his misinformation.

My target price has increased to 2p. The only way to make money out of this company is to short it.
