FWIW, I think the 50k buyer was lucky the market offered a chance to get in at 15p.

OBC - Online Blockchain is also worth a look.
Tiny market cap of 2m, very illiquid with only 9m shares in issue....has several potentially very interesting crypto projects on the go. They own about 20% of ADVFN too.

Has just broken out on the chart, currently retesting the break at 22p...chart shows obc and arb

I hold both arb and obc

The hedge I have is to buy HIVE on TSX and RIOT on Nasday - that way you have mining covered on ETH and BTC but 3 exchanges and different geographical locations for mining

All 3 are up massively but ARB still relatively undervalued as LSE seems to have less visibility for some reason.

I do not think spending all 50,000 here is such a bad move (depending on your wealth) but better to split it across the 3 names above IMO

Good morning.

I must admit to some bottling this morning. Having read some replies early I withdrew my trade(s) for £50,000 worth instead I have managed to get 50,000 shares at an average of just under 15p.

I agree the "eggs in one basket" scenario could be risky especially for me with limited knowledge of BTC and crypto, but everybody has to learn.

Thank you again for replies and information.

Morning allLots of chatter on here :)BTC about a 1000 pts higher than Friday close. Should see a decent open. Market will soon wake up to what the gearing here means for profits. We're basically paying 8k for 24k coins :) leeching

I think my point is that it makes not sense to declare what you are going to do before you have done it.

A large amount of the stimulus will end up in BitcoinExpect big moves today on many shares

50,000 is not that much and will not impact the priceNot enough to front run it given spreadbetting company spreadsBut ARB likely to really jump so a very good time to invest 50,000 imo

I guess my point is you seem very naive to come on here and know very little about crypto and ARB and also declare your intention to buy 50k GBP in the morning. What is now stopping me from putting a long spreadbet on at 8am at 10k per point and taking advantage of your buy order thus forcing up your entry price?

Crypto,

Not sure I would be putting that much in one day into ARB, but that’s your choice. (Also have no clue on your financial position elsewhere).

When I invested here, I did my research, but also got some good views and information from some of the posters on here, like Brasso and SNF, plus YouTube. Must admit views here also helped me decide to buy some BTC directly, but that’s more a cautious small play and to say I hold some. (FWIW)

It’s a BB so at the end of the day it’s you’re call if you take any of their views onboard.

Anyway, good luck with your investments.

Brasso3 - I cannot understand if or why you "smell a rat", I think that may be directed at me.

My broker is AJ Bell, and you will see two or three large buy trades between 8 and 9am in the morning, as I have left instructions for my £50,000 to be invested within the first hour.

It may be that it comes as one trade, but as I suggested earlier if there is a spike in the price tomorrow which I think there will be I have said to make it 2 or 3 trades if it facilitates easier buying without adding to the spike.

I am sure you will see those trades adding up before 9am UK time.

Bitcoin Monthly chart. A repeat of the previous two patterns takes BTC down to 10,800.

Get ready to jump.

yump - LOL!

He was very anti religion anyway. If you say 20p and I can get in below 16p thats at quick 25%, but not interested in that.

He always taught me, "invest for the long term", if you go for "smaller companies" then invest for a "possible dividend after 5 years".

Having done at lest some research on BTC and ARB this looks the perfect play.

Going to instruct my broker in the morning to put the whole £50,000 in, in possible two or three tranches so as not to maybe upset the price.

Want to get the whole lot in before noon anyway preferably under 16p.

20p this week for ARB - that's just based on the round number theory.

If it were my uncle and he'd been investing for years, I would not be putting half of it into one share on a gamble, for fear that he would come back and haunt me.

Looking at the surge in the price of bitcoin this evening, and the fact that the USA are going to be printing another serious amount of fiat $dollars, I may be going "all in" tomorrow morning with the £50,000 in ARB.

Reckon I may be paying around 15.5p though, but willing to take chance as bitcoin looks very bullish tome.

Could pick up maybe around 400-425,000 shares in a couple of tranches between 8-9am.

As I'm willing to hold anyway between 2-3 or possibly 5 years it will be an inheritance which I didn't really expect tucked away for a medium term.

If you’re drip buying then the price isn’t that relevant, based on btc still fluctuating. If you’re going all in, then I’d expect the price to drop off at some point to allow a better entry.

Although as long as you believe in a general upward trend abs you’re holding for years, then tomorrow’s price isn’t relevant.
