I shall be interested to see what happens to the BTC price when big tech pulls back. It must happen - nothing goes up in a straight line and tech prices are pretty heady at present.

The nearest correlation to BTC I have found is big tech, but my thesis is still very much at the testing stage.

Imo there are other miners with greater potential and lower risk. I have never seen an argument here to why ARB should be a top pick, unless you cannot buy nasdaq.

Debt interest will be taking quite a lump out of the profit though.
All the same, I guess you are a lot happier with your ARB holding than Your QBT holding - no revenue at all, and burning cash.
Happier myself to be holding neither, and watching the value of my BTC holding rise.

So that implies an average direct cost of bitcoin mined, post April halving, to be around $62k (i.e.2 x $31k) meaning with bitcoin over $70k for the last few days, they are now mining profitably.

Q1 2024 Update (Preliminary and Unaudited) · Total number of Bitcoin mined during Q1 2024 was 319, or 3.5 Bitcoin per day.· Generated revenues of approximately $17 million.· Average direct cost per Bitcoin mined was approximately $31,000.· As at 31 March 2024, the Galaxy debt balance was $12.8 million (down from original balance of $35.0 million), and the total debt balance was $54.0 million.· As at 31 March 2024, the Company's cash balance was $12.4 million.

ARB are due to publish Q1 results on Thu, they should show:

* significant losses
* negative net assets
* negligible BTC
* negligible cash

Tyke has been absent from this board for an unusually long time.

I think he must be scrutinising his virtual EW chart which told him that the outlook for gold was deeply bearish and that it was in fact (contrary to 5000 years experience) going to zero.

It will tax even his capacity for sophistry to assert that 'everything is playing out exactly as predicted' there, so perhaps the lengthy silence from him was to be expected. The market is indeed a place of paradox and contradictions, as he used to say.

BTC is below its 50 day MA. How long does this weakness continue? With ining costs doubled by the halving, ARB's balance shett weakness is a serious matter. If it waits until it has all but run out of road, any capital raise is going to be at a deeply discounted price.

Be very careful with ARB.
