The purpose of BB is to enable the exchange of variety of views , not just like minded people. Otherwise it leads to group think.

Bitcoin going to 3k. Traders have nothing to follow but trendlines and patterns, borrowed from other and unrelated derivatives.

Ok, bought some more today - with BTC going to $100k and ARB diversifying into London property, seems like a sure thing ...

ARB could transform from BTC casino player to London property landlord???

I hear house-builder Crest are looking to off-load their unsold inventory at a significant discount if you buy in bulk?? You should introduce them to ARB and claim a commission.

I think the value of property in London will remain the same.
That means in 6 months you could buy a single bed flat with 1 BTC. Or in pounds (after all the money printing has ended) with £1,000,000,000,000.

;-)

I want to know how topaz thinks the london property market will benefit from a currency implosion. Not to mention that the 10 year is trading at almost half the coupon rate. The world has made it pretty clear, what it's favourite safe haven asset is.

Let's face it Topaz all your share recommendations over the past month have imploded so why not the world's currencies? In fact if you promoted USD it would probably fail overnight? - you have "the touch", what more can I say?

When hyperinflation hits, and it's coming, then expect all the rubbish currencies in the world to totally implode, this is when Bitcoin will really come into its own and go to $100,000+

Energy costs will not be reduced as this is static as machines are run at 100%. The more coins produced due to reduction in hashrate and difficult means the cost of producing each coin reduces.

mnomis, I would hope for 400 mined in March, at least. As for margins,if difficulty is very much reduced should that not reduce energy costs? With 17000 machines whirring away more coins must result for the same effort/energy at reduced cost. Either way and at $6600 per coin, sold or not, the margin can be expected to be greater than 25%. If back at 50 %, last known published or believed plus the exchange rate issues in favour, then new cost for March might well be $3500 methinks.

Re my request for numbers, good to see some sensible thoughts above on mining margin (I had seen some people talking about a mining cost in the $3k level, which I did not understand). I will run with (as of yesterday am est.) for March:

346 BTC equiv. £1.93m Rev. £485k GP (at 25%).

Any thoughts on the crazy spread and lack of trading here? It feels like something is about to happen, sometimes not what is expected...
