Yes, I think Dollar will need to sell off. BTC has been selling with stock market, gold and silver. I expect another flush which should also take down BTC. If BTC decouples from those mention above then that would be a buy some signal. They could push s&p to 3k level before reversal

The market bottom will come when martial law is enacted in the USA.Is BTC rising, or is the dollar and all other fiat crashing?Imagine all the unemployed in US when every bar, club, restaurant is closed for 3 months. 1000 dollar checks will not save them from themselves?

Chilly...I agree with that. Governments will be in such huge debt. It will lead to a recession of monster proportions.

Will debt be "cancelled"?

I said this was a bargain yesterday. I filled my boots....

I think the majority will be very shocked what this world will look like once this saga has come full circle. There really are a lot of forces being played out. Please remember these words _ anything can happen_

Topa. With respect. You often are too. I've punted hard here based on my belief it is oversold and will bounce. I will be taking my cash at the first sign of weakness. This was a scramming sell from 10p, with some excellent trading opportunities during the decline. As yourself - how much have you made from ARB before you gloat or goad others.

The global economy is heading back to the 70s in terms of disposable income. Businesses will need to scale back 50 years to cope. No cheap travel, no cheap food, no cheap clothes, no cheap cars.Mass unemployment, cheap labour, poverty and unrest.Unless you invest now in bitcoin you will be buying yourself a sewing machine, a bus pass and if you are American, another gun!Never has GLA been more poignant! This is the last hope!

Today’s edition of the Independent sums-up events pretty well;

• “Bitcoin’s recovery saw it return above $6,000 on Thursday, having briefly traded as low as $4,000 a few days earlier.”

• “Other major cryptocurrencies, including ether, XRP and bitcoin cash, also saw significant price rises as investors returned capital into digital assets.”

• “Bitcoin’s crash was a knock-on effect of the stock market collapse, as panicked investors sold any assets they had for cash, so they could pay off urgent debts to their broker,” cryptocurrency expert and author Glen Goodman told The Independent.”

• “There has not been an economic downturn of this magnitude since the 2008 financial crisis and some central banks are already considering similarly drastic measures in order to prevent complete collapse.”

• “The Reserve Bank of Australia and the European Central Bank are reportedly considering emergency monetary policies, including quantitative easing. This would see the banks artificially increase the money supply by essentially printing new money.”

• “The finite supply of bitcoin – no more than 21 million will ever exist – has led some investors to consider it a so-called safe-haven asset, similar to gold.”

• “For the longer term, investors are now starting to worry about central banks cranking up the money printing machines,” Mr Goodman said. ”This could send investors to assets that can’t be endlessly printed, like gold and bitcoin.”

Added more today. Anywhere in the 2p plus level is an excellent punt. People were paying 7 plus a couple of weeks ago. BTC will soon recover

Just bear in mind that the 10 year chart of bitcoin is not unequivocally positive right now.
It might happen, but there are plenty of chartists predicting it will go a lot lower.

Yes, always the same in crisis selling. Gold and silver will go down same as BTC. When there is fear people will sell everything. When there is a genuine recovery, gold, silver, and BTC will rise. We have lower to go. Covid 19 positive test numbers in US may be that catalyst

Plat Hunter, I've been invested in ARGO for a while.

The forthcoming events (BTC 'halvening' and QE) are key inflection points for the company, not the last decade.

Thus, investors taking positions now need only focus on these two events which will shape the next phase of BTC and, subsequently, the inherent investment case in ARGO going forward.

And alongside all that, the company is firing on all cylinders; revenues are uber-solid and profits are impressively healthy.

Thus, what's not to like?

Plat Hunter, I don't know about you, but I know where I would want to be investing my hard-earned cash in the current market; in a stock that is not impacted by COVID-19 but that significantly benefits from the cheap gas prices (cheap electricity) and a strengthening BTC.
