not quite an rms, but I see a return to 20p. RMS 12 bagged and was a crazy ride. I just see the events sector having a big recovery as the vaccine gets closer. Common sense really isnt it ? People want to be entertained and the bookings will be massive when tickets go on sale.. We have waited long enough.

Agreed....HYVE went nuts yesterday, this one stayed quiet....could be a real gem IMO for a 12 month hold. GLA

Nice quiet board, got a few of these this morning on the vaccine news. Events sector has been hammmered in the last 8 months. This was 27p in January. When events open up this could easily get back there as people will want to get back to normal and bookings will rocket.

Agreed. it has survived, not to make hay on the upside and be patient for a multi-bagger.....DYOR Have also bought EQLS, AMGO as two risky upside plays as well DYOR on those as well.

Yep a lot of pent up demand, not only the vaccine but breakthroughs in fast testing soon to be announced will speed things up too.

considering the COVID side of things. As they say, H2 will be awful, but with a vaccine & opening up of countries and sports again, me thinks the market will start to look beyond Spring 2021 and to the heady uplands of material levels of EBITDA again. DYOR as ever, but at c.£15m market cap, net debt of c.£26m, full year adjusted loss I am sure to March 2021 ahead, but where could a bounce back year 2021/22 be in terms of EBITDA? £8-10m? Which will allow debt to be repaid, leaving this looking like a great recovery play. vaccine announcement was key IMO DYOR

Agree with you QS, I posted earlier to that effect but on the wrong thread RARE:) Overlooked here on the Pfizer vaccine news. Everybody chasing airlines and leisure but these guys will benefit too and the share price is very depressed, multiple from here I would think.

So many events/exhibitions/concerts/sports which had been prepping for the Autumn/Winter post-lockdown easing and re-opening, have now been cancelled again. Feel sorry for Arena. It was meant to get better for the industry but seems to have done quite the contrary. This must be increasingly difficult for industry participants. Good Luck All. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP

Yup , news of development of safe and efficient vaccine would give a boost to this share. Could recover strongly on that. Ive monitored this share for some months, without dipping a toe.

Anyone who supported the March 10p Placing has now lost some 40-45% of their capital. Seems to me that, with the new spike in corona cases in various parts of the world, the shutters will remain firmly closed on mass gatherings of closely packed crowds for some time to come. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP

Without doubt, the COVID-19 pandemic has had, and will continue to have, an impact across all aspects of society and for an event business such as Arena, the impact has been devastating. From the middle of March 2020, our traditional business all but stopped and we expect performance to be severely impacted for the rest of this financial year. Group net debt (excluding the impact of IFRS16) was £35.6m an increase of £8.6m over the balance at the end of December 2018. These projects have delivered revenues of over £24m after the period end, in April and May, but with anticipated event revenue losses of over £110m up to the end of 2020, this represents an anticipated net loss of revenues of £86m, which is a seismic change for the Group, as a whole, this year. As a result of this very uncertain environment we are therefore unable to give any specific guidance on how the pandemic will impact trading to the end of March next year, other than to say the impact will be very significant. Nothing unexpected in the RNS and lots of buying, incl. a director, as well as selling. I think there is plenty of upside potential as Europe and East Asia recover from Covid-19
