Yes indeed. How anyone can see this as a good punt in this current environment is beyond me.

Can be handy if you have a losing position and a dead position and you get a chance to sell it and get a higher price. A lot of people out there that still wake up every day thinking they have to make money even after a massive bubble for last 2 months...greed is good...for them

Those groups really should be closed down. Simply draw people in, and leave them holding the baby. Shame there's so many gullible folk around

Interesting volume here. Strange, as I imagine business has fallen off a cliff and is unlikely to return to anywhere near previous levels for quite some time given social distancing

At 7p mid, already 30% beneath the recent March Placing price of 10p. Not surprising. Big sporting events and concerts rely on vast crowds of people in close proximity.... ..the new normal will be social-distancing which makes many such events totally unfeasible.. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP

Not a bad deal at all given where share price was. All depends on things returning to "normal", if not, these new shareholders will buy the company much cheaper IMO!

Share jump despite the cancellation of the olympics is possibly down to the field hospitals being built. Looking at media coverage it is events companies that are doing these installations at ExCel in London for example.

Maybe at a decent premium give share price rise?

wonder how much of a premium someone is willing to pay to get into the company?

With you on this QuePassa, (and a very apt username in the current climate!!) So many red flags here I do think this is the end of this company, imho! Glad I got out at 63p, and even that was a fairly hefty loss!

Agreed dp. Suspect there will be significant cancellations and can't see them surviving from here

Somebody still dumping large amounts and every dump knocks a MM off the bid.

There's a real risk CV could be the end of this company..margins are v skinny and people are cancelling events several months into the future, not just near term.

Somebody dumping larger amounts today. Current Coronavirus panic must be affecting Arena's business as events are postponed or cancelled. Even if the reality isn't half as bad as the share price would suggest, it will struggle until normality is restored. Only a very brave investor with deep pockets will call bottom on this one.

It's a small cap company. 68% of shares are held by institutions and another 5-6% held by directors. Assuming the II aren't selling (no action since last September, and then they were buying not selling) the effective free float is tiny. Any trades will have an exaggerated impact on the share price. FWIW I think the share price will probably stay where it is until we approach results. If all is confirmed as being ok, with no further skeletons emerging, there will be a small move up which will consolidate as ARE recovers.

I bought this a while ago for a recovery play - all seems to be going to plan : positive changes in personnel, a decent set of results and an order book suggesting 2020 will deliver. However the price action is going the opposite way - with some large disposals weighing it down. Just wonder if there’s something I’m missing. I can only think Coronavirus concern? Any thoughts?

The market is nervous about the Covid-19 leading to postponed or cancelled events as has already happened in Hong Kong and Singapore.
