Spivvy warrant placing. Watch as the placees flip. Those warrants should have been at 100%. Seems the company was desperate to do a premium placing, and the only was was to give the warrants at only 6.5p strike.

Zambia is increasing taxes on mining. This isn't particularly good news on the face of it. However if it's the price that has to be paid to keep the country relatively stable I suppose it has to be done.

Main points seem to be that royalties payable by miners will increase from a range of 4-6% currently, to 5.5-7.5% next year. There's also going to be a 5% export levy. I'm no expert on how this compares with other countries; anyone able to shed any light on this?

Mining stocks seem to be especially weak at the moment, IMHO it might be a great time to buy these stocks. ARCM was bucking the trend for some time, but it now seems to have got caught up in the general malaise affecting these stocks. It seems lowly rated in view of the activity in Africa recently

That sub 3.6/ 4m lot has been drifting in and out of L2 for weeks now .. ref post 417.That's why we don't see a big drop on the execution. Fyi ...that order has been on the cards for about 4 weeks as a lot.

there could be many reasons for the weakness. The worrying thing is how the sale of Turec is progressing if at all. In which case what is the cash position. A placing is possible as well as the general weakness of the price of Gold !!! I am very tempted to top up but I am waiting !!!
