The automatic transmission specialist said it has been able to negotiate improved terms for the contract in recognition of the rescheduled payments. Under the revised terms, the agreed 50:50 royalty split on licensed units will now be subject to a minimum royalty of 21 eur to Antonov on each unit. Antonov said it has been told by GTI AG that the two speed supercharger activities in Germany are making progress and a project has been started with a Lamborghini Murcielago in cooperation with Reiter Engineering. 23/1/2008 09:07 | Well, brilliant news - MASSIVE in fact. And no one seems to have noticed except the market makers! Had this type of news come out when we were at 120p(I am holding a fair few from between 90p - 115p cost) then we would be seeing £2 - £3 level looming: perhaps when the scale of the Chinese production is fully understood we will! | pkw
28/12/2007 14:03 | An SAIC Nanjing merger effectively reforms MG Rover. Antonov designed their TX6 for MG Rover vehicles and so provides an obvious target market for Antonov's TX6. Antonov may have blown its chances of getting the TX6 into MG Rover vehicles, when they determined Nanjing were to inexperienced to take the TX6 to proper production. Antonov subsequently worked with Great Wall Motors and Geely; relationships which subsequently floundered. Antonov is still a bit like The Beatles when they were looking for a recording contract: lot's of experience and little to show for it. Antonov are now working with Loncin. What Loncin's plans are, I don't know. The chances of Loncin make transmissions for the MG Rovers are in my opinion slim, due to the geographic differences of Loncin and Shanghai Automotive, and that fact that Shanghai Automotive own their own transmission company SAGW (shanghai Automotive Gear Works). Whatever Antonov's plans in China are, a good chance to finalise them would be at Antonov's hospitality suit at the Shanghai (A1) grand prix around the 12th of April 2008. | crystalclear
19/10/2007 01:11 | (from annual report): +++ Mud Lake Property, Ontario The Mud Lake property, located 25 km northeast of Beardmore, Ontario, consists of 1,696 hectares located in the Beardmore-Geraldton gold camp. The Company has earned a 100% interest in the project. The 2005 summer exploration program identified 10 main gold showings ranging from 4.1 to 50.6 g/t in grab samples. Gold occurs principally within quartz-carbonate veins and areas of silicification along a major auriferous shear structure that extends for 6 kilometres along strike within the Coyle Lake Intrusive. The property has only seen limited drilling since the 1930's. Several of the veined shears that are cut by stringers of pyrite and chalcopyrite carry the best gold values. A 16.9 line kilometre Induced Polarization survey has outlined 20 anomalies along strike of existing surface showings and in overburden covered areas. The Mud Lake property is ready for drilling and the Company is seeking a joint venture partner. | energyi
19/10/2007 00:29 | SUBJECT: RE: ATV drilling next to KXL''''s Hercules .... Posted By:JerryFrancis Post Time: 10/18/2007 16:50 Good evening guys and gals, Blacknite4, 20 holes into 1200 meters is approx. 60m per hole if I understood you correctly. At Ferguson Lake, Nunavut they drill about 250m in a about day and a half. Notwithstanding challenges and the fact that I do not know the terrain and I am a new investor, couldn't ATV drill the entire 1200m [20 holes]in less that 2 weeks? I guess my real point is that it shouldn't take a protracted time frame to accomplish that drilling campaign. Best wishes, Jerry Francis 2/ SUBJECT: I spoke with Mark at the IR dept today Posted By: JerryFrancis Post Time: 10/18/2007 17:00 and asked him that question about the proximity of our property to KXL's. He said that ATV's property abuts [runs right into the border] the KXL property at their discovery sight. Needless to say I became a share holder. A little late perhaps but still on time me thinks. Jerry Francis 3/ SUBJECT: Drilling Posted By: score101 Post Time: 10/18/2007 18:00 I was told by the ir guy that they wont be drilling until November on the Mud Lake and news should be about the finance close and then the drills turning.......what a sight for sore eyes I tell ya Booyaa.. 4/ SUBJECT: How close is ATV from Kodiak? Posted By: i8email Post Time: 10/18/2007 18:53 Any map?.. When do they expect Drill results? By the way.. I just listen to Sage Gold Interview (SGX).. WOW!! | energyi
24/9/2007 17:11 | "More and more Chinese customers prefer cars with automatic transmissions, At the moment, all automatic transmissions used within our industry are imported. We believe that our engine manufacturing experience in partnership with the unique resources provided by Antonov provide significant opportunities to address a major market for Chinese produced automatic transmissions." = It seems China needs its own car automatic transmission company, and Antonov and Loncin might be able to build up that market if they are very focussed and can get along. China needs its own Getrag, ZF, Aisin Ai, Aisin AW, Jatco, ... | crystalclear
24/9/2007 10:47 | Antonov agrees automatic transmission manufacturing project in China LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Antonov PLC said it has reached an agreement with China's automotive components maker Loncin Holdings Co Ltd to manufacture a small, six-speed automatic transmission. The companies will work closely together during this pilot project and will provide 1.2 mln eur each to fund the initial phase which will produce prototype demonstration vehicles and carry out marketing activities, the automatic transmission concept developer said in a statement. Earlier today, Antonov issued 411,765 shares at 1.02 eur per share and 164,706 unlisted warrants with an exercise price of 0.82 stg per share. TFN.newsdesk@thomson kkb/jr | ariane
21/9/2007 16:22 | LOL Swings from profit to loss! Some reporter doesn't know what they are talking about. That is maybe technically correct, but gives completely the wrong idea. The profit was from selling shares, not gearboxes! There is the expected income from Geely for the TX6 project. Production should be in early 2009. Also, the prospects of a second company taking an Antonov transmission still seem very much alive. So all in all, there is nothing unexpected, but the income from Geely might be seen as reassuring to people that were brought up hugging cuddly toys. | crystalclear
21/9/2007 11:23 | Antonov swings to H1 pretax loss; upbeat about future prospects UPDATE (Adds further details) LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Antonov PLC swung to a first-half pretax loss due to high operating expenses, but was upbeat about its future prospects. The automatic transmission concept developer posted a pretax loss of 2.12 mln stg for the six months to June compared with a profit of 395,000 stg in the year-ago period. Total sales however rose to 73,000 stg from 14,000 stg a year ago. The company's operating expenses came in at 1.98 mln stg from 1.36 mln stg. Most of its revenue was generated from the Antonov six-speed automatic transmission contract with Zhejiang Geely Automobile Gearbox Company, in China. Antonov said it is on track to demonstrate a Geely vehicle with this transmission at the Beijing Motor Show in spring 2008, although the project has absorbed more of Antonov's resources than initially planned. Looking ahead, Antonov said it is actively pursuing other opportunities in China for its automatic transmission technology, as the Chinese market is forecast to have a growing demand for fuel-efficient six-speed transmissions in small front wheel drive cars. On its UK prospects, the company said the Midlands is very much the focal point for automotive engineering within the UK. Therefore, it has focused its operations there and is in the process of securing new premises based in Warwick. TFN.newsdesk@thomson kkb/jlc//cmr | ariane
17/8/2007 11:33 | Nice to see ATV continued to take a good ol' kickin' whilst I've been away - and the reason is? oh yes, forgot, I hold them :-) Now 50% of what they were when the last piece of significant news broke, despite securing funding in the meantime ! Still say they'd be better priced if they lied and said they owned some dry oil wells ....lol | littlebert

12/7/2007 11:53 | I do Torotrak are being paid consultancy fees to design transmissions for others. Their real asset will be their stake in Infinitrak. Antonov are spending money designing their own transmissions. So Torotrak are in favour for receiving income and will own half of Infinitrak's premium ride on lawnmower transmission design. Antonov are out of favour for spending money and will own all of their front wheel drive automotive transmission design, supercharger transmission design etc. As the royalties start, the advantages of owning the transmission design verses having been paid to design one for somebody else will become apparent. Rerating of Antonov might start when income from the superchargers is on the books - next results hopefully. The share price factors in some production and so nothing is really certain, but Warren Buffet wasn't interested in selling good shares and with that mentality, being underpriced is of no real concern. I expect gradual rerating of the shares, but not until income from design work by Gelly and supercharger sales shows on the accounts. That should be around September? | crystalclear
