From the blog, more positives:

New services needed to capitalise on connected TV sales boom
More than every third flat-screen TV set sold this year in Europe (37%) will be Internet-compatible, according to recent figures compiled by the European Information Technology Observatory. But with connected TVs now set to boom across Europe, manufacturers and retailers are constantly having to up their game. One way to do this is to offer the consumer market more innovative features so that they remain ahead of their competition.

These latest figures show that connected TVs are becoming increasingly popular, and as a result, everyone wants a piece of the pie. This year, we've already seen the entry of Netflix into the UK market, the launch of Google TV 2.0, and an Apple TV is rumoured to be hot on its heels. So in an increasingly crowded marketplace, manufacturers are having to become more savvy by harnessing developments in new technologies and offering consumers a greater range of digital TV services. For a glimpse of future connected TV services it's worth tracking the connected set-top box market: with a shorter development cycle it's often where TV innovation can be seen first.

Multiscreen TV is set to shape the viewing experience of the future, with connected devices talking to each other to deliver truly personalised TV. By embracing new services such as tablet and smartphone viewing, connected TV sales will continue to thrive.

little bit of press comment:

A trailblazing deployment of its technology by US giant Cisco is pointing the way to major business in North America for Cambridge UK company ANT plc.

The company is seeing growing interest in the connected TV and set-top box markets and plans to leverage the Cisco deployment, chairman Royston Hoggarth was telling shareholders at this morning's AGM.
ANT is a leading provider of software and services for the delivery of digital TV and Cisco has maximised the technology in a novel solution.

Hoggarth, says: "As indicated at the time of the company's final results, Cisco, an existing customer of ANT's, has begun deploying the Galio Platform enabled set-top boxes (the Videoscape Voyager Vantage solution and Cisco Explorer range) in material volumes into the North American cable TV market.

"Cisco is the first to combine a complete web services technology solution with traditional cable distribution in North America and provides ANT with a gateway into this significant market."

Agree with your comments above. I certainly view the wording from ANT as positive, as opposed to anything else.

you only have to look at the ANT history, and for that matter most small tech companies, to see how lumpy the new contracts are...when a couple of my other holdings pick up, I will certainly be adding at under 20p..no brainer.

Mixed news this morning but agree that there are positives in there. Markets are horrible at the minute and punishing everything. Dip appears to have been bought though.

Totally the wrong reaction by the market, although I should not be surprised....

We have been waiting ages for traction in existing clients, so to see higher levels of royalty revenue and 'material' volume shipments by Cisco is fantastic...

So new sales are taking longer, should not be a massive surprise...

Overall these remain at a crazy price and I fully believe someone will take advantage and take us over on the cheap at 30p...

As hastings said a good opportunity to add if you believe the potential. Thinking of dipping my toe in but have to sell something first.

Having the handle (re-minds me of my CB days) hastings, is that where you reside?

Don't know, they seem to like around a 10% holding in the companies they invest in. The hold IDOX which is another I hold. Not sure what their intentions are but maybe it is just to support companies that where they see growth potential. With ANTP valued at cash/equiv then there is plenty of upside for the product (assuming connected TV is the future).
