Punchy comments last week on the ANT blog:

We've only scratched the surface of what the connected TV can achieve and it's important the consumer buys into it. The broadcast and retail industry need to undertake a significant education process, working in sync with new technology developments as a result of the digital switch, to ensure the viewer gets the most out of new connected TV devices. With that consumer base in place, we'll see more and more interactive content and features made available that will enable viewers get more from their favourite shows.

It's been a good start so far and we hope to see more positive media coverage in the months to come championing digital TV. It's up to all of us working within the industry to help inform consumers and spread the word to ensure everyone is able to take advantage of new technology advances.

Been away for a week or so, I see we have seen where Kestrel have been finding stock in that time. Anyway, good to see them going over 11% - would be nice to know what their intentions are and also what they are expecting in the short/medium term.

Yes spot on chrisdgb,a little bit of positive newsflow and we will see another step up. Kestrel has very quickly upped its stake here, based i would hope on sound confidence.

NEW ANT PRODUCT TO BRING MORE REVENUES

Cambridge based TV software provider, ANT plc, is bullish about prospects for a new product that will open up broader revenue sources for the UK business.
CEO Simon Woodward said the coming year would see the first deployment of ANT Galio Move – for use with companion devices such as the iPad.
"While it is extremely difficult to judge what the uptake will be of this new product, we believe that ANT Galio Move is unique and its launch is well timed to meet the rapidly growing consumer demand for smartphone and tablet applications," he said.
"These factors combined with a growing level of interest in the Connected TV market and an anticipated push in the sales of these devices in an Olympic year mean we have entered 2012 with a growing level of confidence."
The company remains loss-making but improved its figures for the year to December 31. The loss before tax was reduced by 42 per cent to £0.34m (2010: £0.58m) on revenues two per cent higher at £4.45m.
ANT reports a "strong cash balance with cash and other financial assets significantly ahead of expectations at £4.24m (2010: £4.97m)."
Woodward said: "While the economic climate will most likely continue to impact on the speed with which new licences are signed and deployed, our increased customer visibility gives us confidence that a number of our customers are progressing towards significant deployments during 2012."
ANT Galio Shipments accounted for 42 per cent of total units shipped in the year – up from 36 per cent in 2010.
The company also expanded its product portfolio into the tablet and smartphone market via ANT Galio Move; its first licence deal in the segment was signed in December. ANT also reported a growing presence in the UK market through partnerships with Freesat and Harvard.

Yes - no big shocks, but no real headline stuff either.

Foresight VCT (FTV) still nursing a loss of more than 700K, its holding sits at a little under £400,000 at this time.

Yes looks like Galio Move will be a key focus....must admit I had completely forgotten they had £11.7m of tax losses...another valuable asset..!!

Steady set of results, nothing major to get excited about but also nothing in there of any concern (IMO). The cash and equivalents being 'significantly ahead' is a welcome boost and loss well under 1/2m now.

Agree, it will be all about setting the strategy for the new devices etc, a headline contract announcement would be good as well...!!

Well, i think we more or less know what to expect. Cash will have dropped a bit more than some might expect, due to the relocation costs. However, hopefully we will get a positive forward view and expectations for this year.
