I do like the answer on drilling the sidetrack. It seems previous failures were all the fault of the previous drilling managers. They conveniently gloss over the problems they had with the drills at Brockham and Lidsey and the EWT at Balcombe where problems were encountered with the drill/test, not just the target zone, and which were said to be due to equipment failures/third parties (allegedly) outside of their control. It's all in the RNS announcements, they are quite illuminating and required reading for any 'investors' here I would say. Oh and Anguish Energy didn't drill Horse Hill, that was done by Horse Hill Developments Ltd. though a certain Captain America was involved in that company at the time and Angus Energy Ltd owned the shares at that point..

LMFAO!!!

Angus’ drilling programmes have generally been well executed – albeit with disappointment about the target zone at Brockham and Lidsey. Angus drilled Horse Hill-1 successfully before selling out to partners and drilling programmes at the other fields either did not encounter the sorts of issues listed above or Angus was able to rectify them swiftly.

This is the company that managed to drill a sidetrack from the wrong well. I guess having 3 to choose from must have been tricky given their trouble with numbers!!

Is that why they rushed these answers out early this morning, Jonny? To embarrass me? Dear oh dear. Unprofessional. Why would they want to do it? Is it my speculation about Aleph? The share price will have to stay above 1.10p, won’t it? They’ve even asked themselves a question early this morning and answered that immediately!

The sidetrack is to be drilled in the first three weeks in July! Make that late September, then. If they get regulatory permission. They fudged that one again, Jonny, what?

If you compare the latest answer on the sidetrack with earlier ones, it doesn’t seem to have progressed since last September, does it?

JA51: a full complement is three shifts of six or seven workers, isn’t it? There have to be manuals covering training, operations, emergency procedures and disaster recovery. They all have to know what’s in them. And this is a bespoke plant, they can’t buy off-the-shelf manuals at W H Smith, what? I’m assuming they’ve done all this work already...

Malcy remarked that the Interim MD read the boards, didn’t he? It seems he’s right. This answer looks a bit rushed. They got it out just in time, someone’s working overtime. Still, there’s no hurry for the sidetrack - it doesn’t look as if they’re nearly ready to produce gas from the existing wells. And the HSE hasn’t apparently said no yet.

Alarm time!!!!

And there is your ultimate fudged answer regarding Sim opps. They still havent got HSE approval....that's not good is it!

Q.

Will the SFB sidetrack be drilled with continuous Gas production or will the gas production plant be turned off for the duration of the drill? Asked on 5 May 2022

A.
Subject to final satisfaction of internal risk assessment SIMOPS are planned – i.e. simultaneous drilling and production. These is not an abnormal choice and indeed is common in far more restrictive areas such as offshore rigs. The plant when fully up and running benefits from a state of the art fire and gas leak detection, rapid blowdown and full set of monitoring and control instrumentation connected to a PLC as well as a full complement of alert operators.

I mean you can't make this up..... Because you can install " state of the art fire and gas leak detection, rapid blowdown and full set of monitoring and control instrumentation connected to a PLC" and then train the the "full complement of alert operators" on this bespoke equipment all in the next 2 weeks!!..... How many is a full complement do you think!

Well, if they could produce gas while drilling a sidetrack, they had the opportunity to tell us so on schedule today, didn't they?

Whatever, he’ll dine out for years on his three years at Anguish. He’ll probably paraphrase Bob Monkhouse: “They all laughed when I said I’d got the top job at Angus. Well, they’re not laughing now”.

JT It's not possible for non-insiders to know exactly where in the processes they are with the various regulators, other than I don't see that EA permit yet and I'm pretty sure first gas is delayed yet again, because it won't be 1st June 2022 will it? I'm still not convinced it's just incompetence rather than it was always intended to end like this. The involvement of Aleph and Forum and the Sound Energy stalking horse, well it just doesn't feel right to me. The sidetrack, September is my best guess at the moment, but there's a few bends on Snake Pass to negotiate yet, what? Maybe Madame Karma will be waiting patiently at one of them?

Okay. I've gone a little bit over budget and time. doubled the shares in issue since I started and the share price has bombed from 8p to a penny but I am starting to understand how it works now. Thank you for your patience x

Paxman: “here is your starter for ten. Fingers on buzzers:

How much will it cost to get the Saltfleetby - or Poundland - gas field back into prod...” Bzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Voice off : “Angus, Lucan”.

Lucan: “£2.5million pounds”

Paxman: “ha ha, 5 point penalty for interrupting and incorrect answer. Ha ha ha ha. Ha ha, hahahahahahahahaha. Get me a large whisky and soda, quick. £2.5million. Hahahahahahaha.̶1;

1347: it’s impossible to be sure about the regulators, isn’t it? Lucan said a while ago that they had four [or was it five?] people now liaising full time with the regulators. I think he implied that Anguish were meeting their requirements in a sort of continuous assessment process that should expedite eventual sign-off. Whether one can have any confidence in this, I don’t know. I agree with you though, as you know: I don’t think they’re anywhere near completing all they need to do to start producing gas for sale and if the sidetrack can’t be drilled, it’s going to be obvious what kind of trouble they’re in, isn’t it?

Paxman I can just picture him with a look of incredulity on his face as another fatuous and vague response in given to a direct question he's just asked.

1347. Quite. And don’t forget the sidetrack. The interview today is a bit of a shocker. Did I hear him use the expression “I can guarantee” in relation to returns early in the interview? They should have got John Humphrys to interview him, not Malcy. Or that bloke from University Challenge.
