So the other masterstroke Mr Forrest pulled off today was the fact that he now gets to benefit from the Angus "Captain America" tax shield of about £20 million-plus now!

That CPR would look very different with that taken into account!

Turn the record over HITS how many times do you need to keep regurgitating the same stuff. Try posting something new that we haven't heard a thousand times. We get it ANGS has cost you a fair lump of £ Get over it and move on. For your own sanity.

I don't think today's events leave things any clearer at all. The only things to be gleaned are:-

The owners of SEL have derisked and offloaded the entire company (including its £1.4 million liability and its 49% share in Saltfleetby) for a hefty chunk of shares and deferred cash. Mind you, that liability and that 49% interest seems to be all there was to the company.

SEL has ended up with 28% of the entirety of ANGS. So it'd be fair to say that today's deal means that SEL swapped 21% of its 49% interest for the shares and deferred cash.

Full production is no longer being mentioned by George for June 1st (no surprise there at all). We're now back to him being "confident of being able to make initial nominations, or First Gas, toward the middle of June"... I suppose they might still just about be able to start full production by the time the hedge starts on July 1st.

There's also been one almighty dilutative placing to raise cash (and not just for the SEL acquisition by any means). ANGS has apparently needed to raise another £6 million "to manage general working capital and Saltfleetby project capital expenditure in particular".

I guess we now know why George sought such a massive authority to issue new shares earlier in the year... and it still isn't enough.

1347: yes. Do you think there’s a chance that the new boys’ shares have also been pre-sold, over the past two weeks? The game’s up here, I think.

Funny that a 91 million trade went through through at the sane price as those consideration shares, when they are not even admitted yet isn't it. Plus another 83 million just before.

JA51: there’s masses of checking to be done too, by NG and the HSE. Not just the plant, but staff training and operating manuals (it is, after all, a bespoke plant, no one’s done it in this country before), emergency procedures, detailed personnel and shift rotas, staff accommodation, noise compliance, operation of flare etc. I’m still looking forward to the answer to the sidetrack question. No, I don’t think it’s going to be producing much gas next month.

With any luck, we’ll see the Interim MD interviewed in the coming days not just by Malcy, but by the gorgeous, pouting Catherine McQueen. If so, let’s hope the vague, snooty-looking fellow (or bellend, as jonny refers to him) will rise to the occasion, what?

JA It can be made up to 30 days in advance and changed, so they are pretty much telling us it will be July at best before it's flowing.

JT EGM Televised? That would be a waste of a camera crew wouldn't it, the money would be better spent on some drinkies, what, what

Many thanks 1347. That makes sense now!..... It's not going to happen though, is it! Far too much to be done! Especially with a 4 day bank holiday and half-term in the middle! Especially if those/that gas generator doesn't turn up soon!

1347: well he can’t spell but he is good enough to correct others’ punctuation oversights. No, I don’t know either but at least I’ll recognise a typical one if I see one. Are they televising the EGM?

As you know, I suspect this was the only way they could get a big placing away. Aleph will make a quick profit in the shares for their associates and can wait and see whether Anguish’s nominations are likely to prevent large losses. In which case, they can vote in favour at the EGM. If nominations haven’t been made by then and it looks dodgy, they can abstain or simply pull out.

JA It relates to them telling National Grid how much they expect (oh there's that word again) to put into the grid.

Nominations

A shipper must tell us through a gas flow nomination of how much gas it intends to either input or offtake at each separate entry or exit point on the system. A
shipper can record its initial gas flow nominations up to 30 days in advance and can also change them at any time up to 3am on the Gas Day (i.e. two hoursbefore the end of the Gas Day.

I like the next bit though:

"We aim to focus on new opportunities as soon as this milestone is achieved."

Does that mean as soon as they've filled in the form in they're going to scarper?

And of course, first gas doesn't mean Commercial production either. Seems they have moved the goalposts when they kicked the can down the road!!

What exactly does this mean?........" we are confident of being able to make initial nominations"...Very odd wording! Does it mean, think they will be able to have a have a guess what and when they will actually be producing?

Project progress at Saltfleetby is excellent with all major equipment on site, electrical and pipework tie-in underway, and select dry commissioning already begun. With a conservative estimate for wet commissioning we are confident of being able to make initial nominations, or First Gas, toward the middle of June. We aim to focus on new opportunities as soon as this milestone is achieved."

Jonny: are the market makers in Anguish shares religious people? You wrote this earlier: “mm's just praying on the stupid”.

Very worrying, this recovery in the share price. I suspect it will go back above 1.30. Until Aleph are out and the EGM is over.
