lets face it if they are considering the offers then they must be pretty good..

"...and in one instance an indicative non-binding offer for, some or all of the Company's 51% interest in the Saltfleetby Gas Field asset which is under consideration."

..and, as WG818 has pointed out elsewhere, the indicative offer appears to have been for all or part of Poundland, not for Anguish itself. That would mean protracted talks with the Debenture holders, whose charge over the assets enables them to veto any such deal. Anguish can’t afford the delay.

Yes, probably someone they know has offered to take it off their hands for £1 and a payment from Anguish of £2.5mm for abandonment liability. Unsurprisingly, while they are considering it, they’re not in talks with this offeror.

Yes, and those expressions of interest, in my opinion, probably came from friendly parties with no intention of proceeding with them. In any case, they're not talking to anyone about an offer currently, are they? So they turned down those approaches or didn’t take them seriously.

This valuation mismatch, also experienced by many other smaller energy companies, has resulted in a series of approaches with interest in, and in one instance an indicative non-binding offer for, some or all of the Company's 51% interest in the Saltfleetby Gas Field asset which is under consideration. Additionally, the Board has received indications that certain parties may be interested in making an offer for the Company.

cuds: kindly stop it. This is from the announcement:

“The Company is not currently in any discussions with any potential offeror relating to an acquisition of the issued and to be issued share capital of the Company.”

Bless your cotton socksA man with no shares hereA man not invested in Angus EnergyBut compelled to talk rubbish all dayAll the derampers are pulling their hair out.Never have I seen such anger or despair over a return above 1pNever in any AIM stock such hate.2 MASSIVE THINGS TO CONSIDER1. AN OFFER for Saltfleeby is Under Consideration2. Indication from parties to potentially buy out the entire companyWith 1 that's good in itselfWith 2 on its own is good enoughWith both 1 and 2 with gas prices above 200p and Brockham planning looking favourable (2.8mmbls oil in play)....Massive attack to 1.5p-2p on IMORetraces will probably get bought up like yesterday...Gla

cuds: I’m pretty calm: I haven’t got a bean in this horlicks and I can recommend this stance. I’m just contributing rational analysis and asking simple questions, to one or two of which the answers seem to be so hard that no one can answer them.

Can you tell us how the Anguish Board is making ends meet currently? And how big you think the placing that’s coming later this month will be? And how long after that they’ll inform the market that no acceptable bids were forthcoming?

Your recent post on the other site is quite wrong. They are not considering any bid. They've said perfectly clearly that none exists currently. The indications of interest to which they refer were probably from their chums.

bionicdog: “markey” is a cross between “market” and “malarkey̶1;, isn't it? Possibly what people refer to as a Freudian slip.
