The SFB Civil Works contract was meant to be awarded by mid-December and this has now passed. Was this contract awarded? Asked on 20 December 2021
There are several parts to the civil engineering works programme, including earthmoving, new hardcore in places, piling, concrete pour, bunding for storage tanks and actual structural supports for pipe racks. The first three have been awarded and much of the work already under way. The latter three we have quotes on from several suppliers and will award in the early new year.

We understand that there has been a request for minor amendments to planning consents at Saltfleetby Gas Field as a result of changes to the onsite generation capacity, flare and condensate stablisation design, and addtional tree planting. Is the application for variation of planning permission now fully aligned with the Environment Agency Permit application and what is the status of the latter?

Alignment. Yes the two are aligned. The process is iterative as with all of the regulatory and planning bodies. In this instance further HSE (compliance with PED/PSSR and ATEX/DSEAR) and EA requirements led to modifications in design and layout during the autumn which are now reflected in this application to Lincolnshire County Council for minor variations to our existing consent.

Progress on EA Permit: We have dealt with a number of Schedule 5 notices requesting further information throughout the summer and early autumn and have, as we understand it, only two matters left to resolve. One matter concerns establishing agreement on precise methods of noise modelling and associated software and the other the management of a low pressure, low volume incidental off-gas stream. Both have a variety of highly technical solutions, the choice of which is being discussed with Agency and our various project engineers. We expect to resolve these matters in early January and do not, at the present moment, see either as a roadblock to First Gas.

If a formal offer is received, the company is obligated to reveal its details.

The chances of this happening before Jan 13th's (E)GM are less than zero.

Mr. Multi-ID next door (who amusingly clearly has no clue what a 419 scam is and who was totally taken in by the claim from an ID calling itself "NigerianPrince" that it had acquired 1% of ANGS) has actually recently said something with which - for the first time ever - I agree, namely:-

"They need funds, hence the GM"

If the strongly telegraphed placing does now occur within the 2nd half of January, then ANGS should have to be asked some very difficult and pointed questions by the regulators. However, since the latter are about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike, they won't be bothered and so George and cronies will be absolutely fine.

cuds: no, I don’t mind whether people want to buy, sell or hold. I do mind whether small investors get access to both sides of the investment argument. They can then make up their own minds on the quality of the competing cases, for and against.
