JA51: it’s risible, isn’t it? “Our assets are grossly undervalued by the market so we’re putting them up for immediate sale”. Brilliant. Only a man of considerable financial acumen could have dreamed this up - or thought it made sense. Can a placing go ahead while the company is officially in an offer period? They need the money.

Well done though, it's a masterstroke. Admit your again out on your sums by £1.5/£2m and the project is again delayed (weeks not days for the suppliers now)and tell the market we might sell up.....we might not of course....and we might sell it to our mates at a discount (SEE PREVIOUS FORM) from 9 fingers.

This of course totally down to gas prices being beyond their wildest dreams. If this was a normal environment there would be hell to pay for the budget and time slipping by the amounts they are talking about.

Let's see what happens after next Thursday's (E)GM!

I see also that in the “enquiriesR17; section at the end of the RNS, Aleph Commodities is listed but not Mercuria. Could it be that Mercuria have got so fed up with the waste of their loan money by this incompetent bunch that they’ve decided a modest bid ASAP would actually save them money? They may be anxious about their hedges: if they’ve taken a position with another party covering part of the gas that they were expecting to get from Anguish and now realise that they’re unlikely to get any - and the price has shot up and doesn’t look like retracing its rise by July - a takeover of Anguish now and the installation of competent management might enable them to get the gas in July and meet any contractual obligations of their own.
