1347 'new shill' I do hope that is not a reference to me. This need to construct a falsehood to reason why a poster does not agree with your views is underhanded and puerile. Seems a characteristic of all the derogatory posters here. Why is that ?

A reasonable price rise today and average volume . A steady stream of twitter pictures perhaps is adding encouragement .

'Year of the short squeeze'
More than 20 energy suppliers have gone out of business since the start of September, with their customers shifted to new providers.

But many will find themselves on a different - and potentially more expensive - tariff than their previous energy deal.

Last week the Resolution Foundation think tank warned that millions of UK families face a "year of squeeze" in 2022 thanks to rising energy bills, stagnant wages and tax rises. The Bank of England has said it expects inflation to reach 6% by the spring.

The Resolution Foundation says that an increase in National Insurance contributions from April, along with an expected rise in energy bills in the same month could amount to a £1,200 hit to household finances.

And the foundation warned that poorer families will bear the brunt of these rises as they spend a greater proportion of their income on electricity and gas.

The government says it has taken steps to help, including reducing the Universal Credit taper, providing cold weather payments and freezing alcohol and fuel duty.

1347......Blimey, that's a bit pessimistic!

I think there could well be an issue as to now being able to afford the sidetrack given the cost overrun highlighted in the now-defunct CPR, the obvious delays, new equipment costs, and the obvious costs of the loan and interest attached.

Standing still has been historically £250k a month and they now have the Saltfleetby costs to add to this. Full-year accounts out in March will make interesting reading.

Its hardly moaning!

If 1347 is correct and the company holds its AGM in March as normal they are asking for permission to raise 80% of the shares in issue in just 10 weeks!

Probably just another Angus F-Up but it's worth noting!

So the AGM normally takes place in March. We have a "GM" just put an E on the front really though a week on Thurday.

So the question is why is this sentence snuck in at the end?

"If approved by shareholders this power will expire on 30 November 2022 or, if earlier, at the
conclusion of the Company’s 2022 annual general meeting."

It's a bit worrying if the AGM is in early March, isn't it?
