13/9/2021 14:28 | 38p level? On about future gas prices again? The thing about an asset is that it needs to be realisable in order to achieve any value. If ever anyone needed meds... Sincero, I agree that Mercuria will make sure they've got a "heads we win, tails you lose" type deal. It all depends on what their objectives are... and I doubt they revolve round minor league gas production in Lincolnshire (presuming ANGS ever gets near that point). However, I am absolutely sure they won't revolve round the geothermal pipedreams of a currently zero revenue AIM microcap (no) oil and (still no) gas company. | headinthesand

13/9/2021 13:49 | They also said recently that the drilling rig for the sidetrack was due on the site in early October, and that if they were notified of any delay, they’d announce it. Should we assume it’s coming on schedule? | jtidsbadly

13/9/2021 13:45 | JA51: did they file that appeal re Balcombe with the Secretary of State? Re EA approval, the amendment in April was in respect of the requirement to use their gas to produce electricity for the site. Did they file separately for EA approval for the changed sidetrack plan? | jtidsbadly
13/9/2021 13:30 | Sincero, standard supportative PR puff, in my book. For Mercuria too, it'll be all and only about Poundland. In other news, next door, the "Cuddothisnow" ID has been temporarily entrusted to someone who knows how to use and spell words longer than two syllables and who can correctly use an apostrophe. That's some mild relief over there, but it means over here, sadly people are stuck with the scarcely intelligible copy n paste cretin. Oh well... | headinthesand

13/9/2021 12:38 | Re the sidetrack, it’s worth looking again at what they told shareholders last year (below). They need EA approval for it.. Q: “I read in the accounts of Wingas that the last well drilled – SF07 encountered a lot of difficulties and had to be shut in. What makes you confident that you can make more of a success of your proposed sidetrack through SF05 scheduled for 2021? (This question formed part of larger question already published but the full historical data has taken a few days to assemble) Asked on 5 August 2020 A: “The Saltfleetby 7 sidetrack was drilled from the B site towards the West, as can be seen in Figure 5 in the CPR (Structural Map of the Top of Westphalian Reservoir (Unit 2b)). The well was first perforated in the Brinsley Abdy formation, but failed to flow oil. Thereafter there was significant differential sticking in the Westphalian unit and the well was sidetracked to penetrate the Namurian C which was thinner than prognosed due to faulting, and so another sidetrack (SF07Y) was drilled into a thicker Namurian C sand. After completion and perforation in 2003 the well flowed 2.4 mmscf/d of gas on test. However, once the well was linked up to production equipment it became clear the reservoir had suffered some form of permeability impairment and the well gas rate was restricted. With respect to the upcoming SF05 sidetrack, this is to be addressed from the B site in completely the opposite direction towards the East, tapping a prolific part of the reservoir. The well is to be drilled using techniques that will negate the impact of any differential sticking, and also in to an area where there is good well control (SF3z and SF5). Therefore we have good reason to be confident that we can avoid any of the issues seen in SF07. Our new sidetrack is intended to accelerate reserve recoveries from this better understood and obviously prolific part of the reservoir rather than to address potential new resources in the Field. We would also aim to reinterpret the seismic data over the line of the well to ensure we do not hit any unexpected faults. We aim to begin this modest sidetrack operation in Q2/Q3 next year once the field has resumed production from the two existing producer wells, and all regulatory applications will be submitted in due course to try and achieve this target.” Q:How do you rate your chances of success on the new SF-05 sidetrack proposed for 2021 and what regulatory hurdles need to be overcome before you can commence work?” Asked on 30 July 2020 “We believe that the chances of success are high to very high, although no drilling is without some risk. We would prefer to give a fuller presentation to investors nearer the new year on the structure of the reservoir and how each section and each well was addressed historically, for which there is a considerable body of good data, as against what we are proposing here. As regards local authority planning, the sidetrack operation will fall under existing permissions but we still need to seek the approval of HSE under BSOR for which there is a notice period of 28 days. The sidetrack is already included in our Field Development Plan with the OGA. Environment Agency, with whom we are already in discussions regarding the site, may also be involved in the final sign off.” | jtidsbadly

In total 68 BCF of raw gas and 1.1 MM bblss of condensate were produced from the Saltfleetby gas field until it ceased production in December 2017, with a last-recorded aggregate flowrate of 6.5 MMSCFD from Wells SF2 and SF4. | whocares765

13/9/2021 12:10 | "last-recorded aggregate flowrate of 6.5 MMSCFD" Note the word "AGGREGATE" imbecile. The average flowrate will be very much like U-Dog's predictions for their "Gatwick Gusher" IMHO... i.e: nowhere near the "AGGREGATE" figure stated. Besides which - Anguish are so indebted now, and have lost so much Market credibility after their catalogue of failures both past & recent, that they would need a major miracle to make money for their shareholders now. Never mind... so long as those director salaries keep getting paid... all is well in the world... Buyer Beware! CQ ;-) | clottedq |
