Anglo Pacific positioning themselves in the green/renewable/clean energy sector in order to benefit from the transition away from fossil fuels. Management mindful of the growing need for a clean and sustainable source of energy, and the role the likes of copper, nickel and rare earths have going forward..

Lots of very negative news recently about coal:-

-More and more investors are shunning the sector on ESG concerns.

-Coal usage tailing off rapidly in Europe.

-China now emphasising renewables more and more.

-Greta Thunberg impact on climate change and awareness about fossil fuel pollutants growing and especially with younger generations.

-Eight USA coal companies have filed for bankruptcy this year so far.

An interesting BBC article today headed:- COAL: IS THIS THE BEGINNING OF THE END?

Link here:- hXXps://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-50520962

and also a fascinating article in the Wall Street Journal dated 24th. November headed: BETS ON COAL END WHERE THEY STARTED: IN BANKRUPTCY

Canary in the coal sector??

The share price of sector bellwether Whitehaven Coal (and majority owner/operator of Narrabri coal mine) is now down approaching a massive 50% over 18 months, despite record 2019 f/y results.

Whitehaven share price:-

June 2018 - A$5.78
Today - A$3.00

Whitehaven Coal shares now approaching an astonishing yield of 9%.

COP25 Madrid adds further sector woe and attracts much ongoing media coverage which significantly influences and informs investor opinion and sentiment.

Institutional investors increasingly shun fossil fuel related investments and embrace the growing and compelling importance of ESG investment.

It's quite clear QuePassa doesn't have a clue what he's writing about. Whitehaven's share price is of no concern to APF. Besides, APF are shrewdly positioning in key base metals and strategic minerals - possibly rare earths. The most recent Proactive Investor interview makes it quite clear that the board are very mindful of the clean/green energy outlook. One thing is abundantly clear though, coking coal production and application in steel making won't be disappearing any time soon...irrespective of what QuePassa will have you believe..It's a steal at this price imo

Que passa is either short or looking to buy in cheaper a bit like a broken record repeats the same stuff about coal without analysis or relating it to the Anglo Pacific business model. Best to filter or ignore him.

Support??

But the RNS said clearly that a certain named party just SOLD almost a quarter of a million shares.

Even if 30,000 were bought by a different named party, that is an overall net sale as per the RNS of some 213,000 shares.
