GKP were an exceptional dividend payer in the good times, and even when they couldn't sell oil abroad they've still managed to keep paying. I like that sort of thing, the management know what's good for shareholders. |
I don't really count AAZ as a UK stock.
GKP nothing's changed but it seems a good place to park cash. The day they reopen the pipeline is getting closer. I haven't seen anything to make me think it won't happen, and when it does the share price will spike and I can topslice and hold the rest for income.
I don't remember the detail with OMI, I think they kept having amazing discoveries which turned out to be uneconomic, but I may be mixing them up with someone else. I was in them from 2008 to 2013, paid as much as 64p, average price 42p, gave up and sold at 36p. Eventually I wised up and stopped buying non-producing miners. |

I was in OMI years ago, it's hard to persuade myself to have another look. Have they really changed their spots? |
I've been clearing out UK-based stocks and moving the proceeds into AAZ and GKP. Zero confidence that Keir Stupid and Rachel the tealady will improve their awful mismanagement. |

Gold, silver and copper all strong again. Surely something has to give at AAZ. The way margins work, we'll be making so much more at these levels than has been pencilled in. |
GENI - placing, small discount to previous closing. Fiinu also a placing, knew that one was coming, did well to get it away at 10p though - no way I’d have paid that but it was clearly forward sold. |
