wan - wonder why after almost two decades as a listed company this has only become a big “issue” for AAZ over the last couple of years. Heightened awareness of environmental issues, or something else, underhand.

indeed cmb,,, it's these statements I've taken most from...

"The head of state said that this visit is of great importance in relations between Azerbaijan and Great Britain and is a historic visit."

"President Ilham Aliyev highlighted that this visit marked the British Prime Minister’s first trip to Azerbaijan, describing it as historically significant and important for UK-Azerbaijan bilateral ties."

Cheers
Wan :-)

agreed Bumpa,, just wish it would go away,,, but,,, seems it won't and I'm not sure what else the company could have done, or be doing to pacify, placate, appease, assuage or satisfy those behind the perceived issues with AAZ and its TD etc etc....

certainly they must continue to be proactive in their approach with locals, regular in-person meetings, tours of the site (perhaps),,, hand holding, explaining, creating jobs, opportunities etc etc...

they must not slip back into their old ways and they should rns such events and actions to show investors & AzerGov they're doing what they promised!!!

Cheers
Wan :-)

The President DISCUSSED the Azerbaijan-Armenia negotiation process with the British Prime Minister

As we reported, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Keir Starmer on November 12.

Bizim.Media reports that President Ilham Aliyev noted that this is the first visit of the British Prime Minister to Azerbaijan.

The head of state said that this visit is of great importance in relations between Azerbaijan and Great Britain and is a historic visit.

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland congratulated President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of COP29 being held in Azerbaijan and our country's chairmanship of this event.

The Prime Minister said that the issues of climate change are important and priority issues on the British agenda and emphasized that the contribution made by Azerbaijan to the fight against global climate change is appreciated.

The head of state said that despite the fact that Azerbaijan has little time for the organization of COP29, all the organizational work was carried out in a short period of time. President Ilham Aliyev said that progress has already been made in the process of negotiations on the essence of this measure. In this regard, he assessed the progress achieved under paragraph 6 of the Paris Agreement as a positive step.

During the conversation, bilateral relations between our countries were discussed, and the construction project of the solar panel station in Jabrayl with BP's investments was highly appreciated.

It was noted that this project will ensure the transition to renewable energy and decarbonization of the energy used in Sangachal, one of the largest oil and gas terminals in the world. During the conversation, Great Britain's support for mine clearance in Azerbaijan was highly appreciated.

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland was interested in the negotiation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

But in addition to all this, our head of state stated the importance of eliminating territorial claims against Azerbaijan in the Constitution of Armenia.

The President of Azerbaijan emphasized the importance of preparing nations for peace in order to advance the peace process and sign a peace agreement.

On November 12, Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with Keir Starmer, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Azernews reports.

President Ilham Aliyev highlighted that this visit marked the British Prime Minister’s first trip to Azerbaijan, describing it as historically significant and important for UK-Azerbaijan bilateral ties.

Prime Minister Starmer congratulated President Ilham Aliyev on successfully hosting COP29 and praised Azerbaijan’s Presidency of the event.

He underscored that climate change remains a top priority for the UK and commended Azerbaijan’s contributions to global efforts to combat it.

The head of state noted that, despite limited preparation time, Azerbaijan efficiently completed all organizational tasks for COP29. He noted that progress is already evident in the substantive negotiations, including advancements on Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, which he viewed as a positive development.

The conversation also focused on bilateral cooperation, highlighting the bp-funded solar plant construction project in Jabrayil. This project was recognized as pivotal for transitioning to renewable energy and decarbonizing operations at the Sangachal terminal, one of the world’s largest oil and gas terminals.

The UK’s support for demining operations in Azerbaijan was also appreciated.

The UK Prime Minister expressed interest in the peace negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. President Ilham Aliyev explained that discussions on a peace treaty were progressing, with much of the text already agreed upon. He noted significant progress in border delimitation and demarcation between Armenia and Azerbaijan, mentioning that over 12 kilometers of the border had not only been delimited but also demarcated, with the agreement to advance this process reached at the last meeting of the commission.

The Azerbaijani leader stressed the importance of Armenia removing territorial claims against Azerbaijan from its Constitution and emphasized the need to prepare populations for peace to facilitate progress in the peace process and the signing of a treaty.

wan - the article will have a heavy bias, so taken with a pinch of salt, that said - there are a few points in there of concern imo. But then isn’t most business, dirty business when all’s said and done 🙄

The president of COP29’s host country has told the UN climate conference that oil and gas are a "gift of god".

Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev criticised "Western fake news" about the country's emissions and said nations "should not be blamed" for having fossil fuel reserves.

The country plans to expand gas production by up to a third over the next decade.

Shortly afterwards, UN chief António Guterres told the conference that doubling down on the use of fossil fuels was "absurd".

Its going well then Bumpa :-) LOL :-),,, crikey !!!!

it's only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it DP and right now that's not a lot!!! As others have said,,, they need to get producing & making a profit to demonstrate they can afford to get Demirli up and running,,, sort out a divi (can't see that happening for a while!!!) etc etc etc.... there's so much to be done and they can only do it 1 step at a time... they'll get there, black swans permitting,,, just got to sit on ones hands, or sell and trade it, or sell and invest funds elsewhere before coming back to AAZ later on... trouble is,, when AAZ's share price wants to move, in either direction,,, it moves fast as soon as the MM's sense there's a bit of volume/momentum behind the move,,, well, that's the way I see it anyhow :-) :-) Oh what a game this is :-) :-)

Next news - TD wall raise completed I think !?

Cheers
Wan :-)
