10/11/2024 22:44 | maybe you’d get more kudos/less sarcasm if you didn’t previously pump crypto and then disappear like a fart in the wind when it bombs only to then magically reappear at all time highs… just a thought! | bumpa33
10/11/2024 22:14 | Well sorry I mentioned a long shot on crypto eg. SUI. It might have moved 500% already ($0.5 > $3.0) but that is not very significant in crypto world. I was highlighting that this could be the new Solana. The SOL market cap is currently $98b and the SUI market cap is $9b. SOL is predicted to multi bag from these levels... I am investing in crypto for 10, 20, 30 baggers. Its a different ball game to the small profits people are chasing on AIM. | brasso3

10/11/2024 18:48 | Putin is a cunning fox, for sure..... did I read he'd jailed a couple of his soldiers for war crimes recently!!!!! need I say more!!! | wanobi
10/11/2024 18:42 | Pogue - you should get in contact with FT Alphaville 😳 just joking. Maybe 🤔 | bumpa33
10/11/2024 18:36 | Should add I am talking to a former director of WG via text, have been for a year or so on and off. He is very bitter about his time there but he has some data he will only share with me if I visit him in Aberdeen which shows some interesting numbers he tells me. I am not wasting time going to Aberdeen on what I did think at one point was rubbish but I think there maybe more to it now. All speculation but grist to the mill. | pogue
10/11/2024 18:28 | Apollo pulled out previously due to there not being enough value compared the debt they needed to take on to buy it. Cant see anyone bidding when the last few years accounts are probably going to be restated. Its a problem WG have had in the past with buying pigs in pokes at what they thought was a good price only for the problems to come out later hence the debt pile built up buying the pigs is not going down. Other companies are not that stupid as in this sector mistakes can wipe out a lot of profits due to the razor thin margins and huge cost to fix issues late in a project. PFC is a prime example of what happens if you get a few contracts go wrong. Hazl yes I think differently but then I have worked in the sector for over 30 years, worked for every EPC in the UK and observed the screwups first hand. | pogue
10/11/2024 18:20 | thanks hazl, interesting article - begs the question if they turned these suitors down previously at far higher prices, why would they be anymore likely to deal this time round. Apollo in particular want something for nothing. Are the BoD are at risk of getting booted out though? In which case could be game on.. any activist holders on the register I wonder… and any more nasty surprises waiting in the wings… | bumpa33
10/11/2024 17:58 | Pogue has his own views of course. 8-) | hazl
10/11/2024 17:50 | Bumpa interesting SEE was doing well also and has the strange trades still there . | hazl
10/11/2024 17:44 | I understand and accept that many on here just cannot & will not accept that Putin is far more capable a world-leader than most others. The Western MSM does such a good job against him and most people never question the hogwash they are deluged with day-in and day-out ... this also explains the supposed shock and surprise expressed at Trumps' record-smashing win against the imbecile Harris & the corrupted Democrats - what was obvious to most normal people was beyond the Marxists comprehension. "Totally cool, calm, comfortable, in full command of a Himalaya of facts, no political leader anywhere – recent past and present - would even come close to delivering what amounts to an extensive, detailed world view deeply matured over a quarter of a century at the highest geopolitical level. Putin began his address referring to the October 1917 revolution, drawing a direct parallel with our turbulent times: “The moment of truth is coming”. In a clear tribute to Gramsci, he stated how a “completely new world order” is “being formed before our eyes.” He is of course 100% spot-on Going to be interesting next 7-8 weeks in terms of events in Ukraine. Presumably Putin will see the sense in gaining as much territory as he possibly can in that timeframe & kicking Ukraine out of the Kirsk region. Unlikely USA or NATO will pony-up much more in terms of weapons/munitions. Zelensky will shortly have a mountain of humble pie to digest - so much so that he might accidentally have to fall from an open 10th floor window & thereby usher in a new Ukrainian leader unencumbered with the foolish bravado and bluster that has been the hallmark of the stooge Zelensky ... et voila! ... a ceasefire will likely result in short-order followed by new permanent Ukraine / Russia borders. | mattjos
10/11/2024 13:12 | pogue - what d’ya reckon the chances of Wood’s previous suitors, or indeed a new one, coming back to the table, even harnessing disgruntled major holders and trying for a hostile TO in light of the previous fails? | bumpa33
10/11/2024 12:19 | about bloody time if so…! | bumpa33
10/11/2024 12:17 | Could be life returning to AIM then | jbe81
10/11/2024 12:07 | They’re all similar timestamps, all worked orders, all put through originally incorrectly to two decimal places, all subsequently cancelled and then all reprinted later with correct pricing. Can’t see why they wouldn’t be all genuine. And they wouldn’t be on the board if they weren’t… | bumpa33
10/11/2024 11:51 | Interesting you think the reprints are genuine , Bumpa. Good news for FRG, can see it being one of the best performing shares over next 3 months. It was the PYC trade that made me question them, but as you say the sector could come back in vogue. Should see FAB rerate, and this time last year they were updating the market, from their last update it should be good, although may be a week later this year due to recent director buying | jbe81
10/11/2024 11:21 | didn’t check the others hazl but the APTA one was, it’s on Bloomberg (terminal) and the stock was heavily bid all afternoon, was following it after affc21’s post on being contacted by the mm’s. Advfn won’t let me post the full URL on that link. Copy and paste it. Edit. I’ll check on Monday morning to see if I can find who advertised the business… | bumpa33
10/11/2024 10:59 | I don't think they were genuine trades, on the whole, personally . Your link isn't liked by the way. | hazl |
