08/6/2022 12:25 | Katsy, I suspect d-p is wondering if gravity can be used to assist moving ore around. I feel the engineers at AAZ have demonstrated their skills in coming up with the most efficient way of getting something done, and we can rely upon them to continue to do so. And then in the afternoon they can sort out the NHS! :¬) | lefrene
08/6/2022 12:13 | Cable car systems have been used successfully in the past on mines all around the world. However in today's mining world where they have the extract tonnes of rock for those few grams of metals I'm not sure that would be feasible nowadays. | katsy

08/6/2022 12:09 | I'm not sure on the topography between Zafer and the plant at Gedabek, but if there is a height differential might they be able to use a bucket and pulley system? I'm sure they are looking at every way of minimising costs. | donald pond
08/6/2022 12:08 | Thank you for the link Mattjos. Perhaps one is biased by the comfort factor when one see's others confirming one's own views. For those with less time, start 20 minutes in. One has to wonder for just how much longer this lunacy can keep going before it blows up. The one sure thing is that it will blow up, it's only the timing that's unknown. This all goes back to Clinton rescinding the Glass-Steagall Act circa 1981, and the reckless greed of major Banks ever since. The latest culmination being in the Repo-Market hiatus of 17-9-19, essentially a global banking crash, that has so far been propped up by $ trillions of new currency being created, plus the FED buying up the USA stock market. We are going to see the biggest crash in all history when the US dollar loses credibility. | lefrene
08/6/2022 11:49 | Class act indeed whilst AL are doubling their output Aaz have designs on quadrupling theirs. Might Aaz contemplate supplementing their energy needs with a solar/wind farm as climate change and energy costs make it a prudent choice. | bleepy
08/6/2022 11:44 | Regards shares going down on news we in a bear market and news is traditionally sold into in such a market. Everyone nervy and not wanting to hold anything long term. In the ORPH case I think the reaction to the very good numbers was simply disappointment as the new CEO is very staid and is definitely the under promise over deliver type so bit of a run to the hills by traders. After speaking to the CEO a couple of weeks ago I was very impressed by him and am certain he is now the right man to build the business after CF put the parts together. Hugely undervalued on the numbers watch the investor meet company presentation when it comes out for full details but basically they make money and have a large positive bank balance in a sector that is growing massively and they are the market leader by far. Should be safe as houses going into a recession. DYOR, I am not a financial advisor, I hold shares in this company, nothing I say is to be taken as investment advice its just my opinion etc. | pogue

08/6/2022 10:53 | I like the PXC RNS. It will raise $60 million plus for the project work to get the Empire Open Pit Copper mine up and running, and without any dilution of shareholders. Meanwhile bondholders from this raise are on a win-win with the company, as if/when copper price goes up, their interest rate also rises. With no dilution, the present share price of low 50’s could increase many times as they get into production, and then develop the other assets in their portfolio, like Red Star high grade silver/lead, the Navarre Creek Carlin style gold play, the deep sulphides and the fabled Moly-Tungsten porphyry at depth. The Board are delivering exactly what they promised, and I continue to have trust in them, and the way they are approaching this business. | pantsonfire
08/6/2022 10:34 | rather too conspiratorial for my taste …. much more likely it is simply traders booking a profit on the morning rise & certainly not a pattern that is unique to oil co's. Market always needs a bit of time to digest whatever news it is that AXL has released. It's nervy times for the markets, period. Rates are rising. Liquidity is now starting to be removed via QT. Most people sense that these actions by Central Banks are going to continue through this year but, the higher Rates go & the more QT is carried out, the closer we all get to the final straw on the Camel's back situation. Quite where that is, no one is sure. The Repo crisis occurred the last time this was tried and so there is a genuine concern that similar is going to occur once again. Rates at 2% looks likely to be the level at which the markets could break and test the Central Banks resolve. With all this in mind, many folk are just looking to take quick turns in the market and keep themselves liquid and nimble ahead of what most feel is coming next | mattjos
08/6/2022 10:26 | JSE, ORPH, SAVE = all down the day/s following results. A pattern of 'sell the news' happening, or just coincidence? =========== KS, Its all a bit weird.....and I don't believe in coincidences that happen all the time. OK.....some of these share price drops are due to disappointing results....but not all of them. Todays AXL drill result RNS is typical.....the market opens at 8.00 and the buys come in....sp is off to the races with a good rise......then 08.06 to 08.08 (2 mins) the sells come in to bring the share price back down. What would have been a good rise is muted. Don't know who is doing this. My GUESS......Blackrock or one the big fund managers who are aligned with the WEF. These funds have shares in most, if not all oil cos. My guess is they are trying to keep the share price of the oil cos down as part of the Green Agenda......anti Hydrocarbon. Someone is keeping the share price of the oil cos down.....and that includes the Oil Majors. | 11_percent
08/6/2022 10:10 | For those with oil shares in Columbia - Political Risk. The bookies have Hernandez the favourite to win the presidential election 2nd round…&hellip =============== For anyone not familiar as to how to read American style gambling odds I found the below explanation on the internet. "Negative numbers signify the favorite on the betting line. The negative number indicates how much you'd need to bet to win $100. If the number is positive, you're looking at the underdog, and the number refers to the amount of money you'll win if you bet $100." ======== | 11_percent

08/6/2022 09:36 | King Suarez re PXC I think it's a novel way to finance the build. You give the bondholder an upside on the price of copper.Even if you pay out 20% to bondholder , PXC are getting 10 times that value due to the copper price. The money does not have to be repaid for 10 years and will thus finance the development of the other mines and at $12 a lb Cu think what cash PXC will be throwing off......rather juicy dividends | goldrush
08/6/2022 09:22 | I must remember to sell shares the day before results in future. JSE, ORPH, SAVE = all down the day/s following results. A pattern of 'sell the news' happening, or just coincidence? PXC - that is an odd RNS, not seen bonds linked to commodity pricing being issued before? Starting at 7.5% (minimum) potentially rising to a 20% coupon interest rate if Copper gets to $11.95/lb - obviously near tripple the current price, but it is a weird way to issue debt - could they not get a fixed rate of 10% or something? Though I guess if Copper did ever get near that price they'd be able to repay early unless there's any penal early repayment clause? | king suarez
08/6/2022 08:50 | AXL Yes Wan.....rise on the news a bit muted. It rose very quickly....then a batch of sells came in......one would almost think it was deliberate by some to hold the share price back.....it happens a lot.....not only in AXL. | 11_percent

08/6/2022 08:43 | AXL The next well in the programme comes in. Spud on May 23, 2022, the RCS-1 well was drilled to a true vertical depth ("TVD") of 8,105 feet on June 3(rd) . The well has been successfully cased and cemented as of June 6th. Initial technical evaluation indicates six separate oil-bearing reservoirs, two of which were not evident in RCE-1 or RCE-2. Cumulative net pay in all zones exceeds 55 feet. The six separate reservoirs were found in the C7, the Gacheta and the Ubaque, between 7,077 feet and 8,105 feet. | 11_percent

08/6/2022 08:15 | From the ATYM thread, but very pertinent to a Copper miner with expansion goals against the current backdrop of input cost headwinds going from 55KTPA to 100KTPA, against our current 2.65-10KTPA ambitions, AL is a class act and setting an example to learn from.., well worth 35 minutes viewing from Crux.. | laurence llewelyn binliner
