20/11/2020 15:31 | JKX looks an interesting gas play. Ukraine based, so not without geopolitical risk (where is!) and very little in the way of debt. | kfr20
20/11/2020 14:29 | Posted on another board in case anyone may be interested, it is O/T: I have been looking into NAD supplementation and senolytics recently. NAD drives mitochondrial cell activity (energy) and production declines with age, due in part to senescent cell buildup in the body - senescent cells are ones where something has 'gone wrong' following cell division/DNA replication and so remain dormant, until the body clears them (an anti-cancer mechanism) - but whilst dormant they give off inflammation to cells around them and produce a protein (to signal they need to be culled) that competes with the body for NAD usage - this is hypothesised to be a key contributor to age related illnesses as the body gets overwhelmed with senescent cells and can't efficiently kill/recycle them all - animal studies (and some preliminary human trials) are showing that removal of senescent cells can restore healthy function to muscles and organs. Senoltyic drugs/supplements are strong versions of stuff found in polyphenols (grapes etc) which help the body to target senescent cells to kill. A combination of Dasatinib (a chemo drug) and Quercetin (natural flavanoid in food in small doses - onions, grapes etc) have been proven in trials to be v effective at aiding the body to clear senescent cells. Worth looking into if you are interested in health and longevity. | king suarez

20/11/2020 14:18 | thanx avs, I've been buying back my original PTAL position today, always believed in the field and management,,, and think it'll do well long term,,, its been a great shame that cv-19, POO & social unrest has knocked it back,,, but every cloud as they say,,, I'm getting back in lower than I sold out before,,, albeit I'm still in a large hole overall with it :-) fingers crossed, GLA Holders, cheers Wan :-) | wanobi

20/11/2020 13:55 | Thanks all humouring my late involvement on this thread, for your input and answering various things that I would otherwise have been unable to resolve. If they actually release news (I still think there is an argument that they might need to) then it is difficult not to see upside - I have bought more today. JB2 - specifically on your comments on Kovsakan, try Google Maps and "Zangilan" brings up the exact same village. On top of the Armenian article you found the Azerbaijan one posted at 41727 says: "The government also has sought to open up mining in the newly retaken territories. A consortium between the state enterprise Azergold and a (yet unnamed) foreign company has been formed to mine for gold in the regions of Zangilan, Vezhnali, and Kelbajar" We can identify two obvious gold mines at Kelbajar and Vezhnali. Why mention the third location? I like your use of the phrase the other day - "Occam's Razor". Edit: looking at the numbers I appreciate that Vejnaly and Zangilan could be small-fry compared to Sotk, but they will have been 'liberated' for some time before Sotk is freed up. My thinking is a reverse Sotk. In a funny way they benefit from being smaller - with one inland from the border. Lowland valley roads (rather than a mountain pass) take you practically all the way to both sites. They are close enough to share facilities. Getting them up and running will take less of everything and they are an early opportunity to demonstrate Azerbaijan's intent for development to go hell for leather and bring new life to the area. The AZ side of Sotk is bleak and uninhabited whereas there are settlements (and remnants of them) near the smaller sites in enticing valleys - and they were hopefully captured quickly enough for everything not to have been vandalised. Oh. And there's the Aras dam and its power station right nearby so wiring up the site to grid power shouldn't be an issue. And right now AAZ can probably afford to kit out a smaller site without too much trouble. Whether any of this makes practical sense is something for people who know more about the actual functioning of mines than me! | thistimemaybe
20/11/2020 11:51 | Hi 2sp No I can’t confirm it’s from the same resource at the Behre Dolbear report. Would need to check to see if it’s possible to cross check. Am mainly working on Arayik Harutyunyans historical comments of there being over 20 years resources there. Yes much is yet to become clear EXPLICITLY but the ceasefire agreement sets it all up. It IS still part of Azerbaijan. The document is beautifully vague on a great many things as far as Azerbaijan is concerned. Therefore international law would apply. As yet there has been no agreement from Azerbaijan about any local government or army or police or mining body or indeed anything. There has been no devolved power handed down, just power assumed and taken on the back of an armed invasion. As such anyone declaring themselves in charge of anything without Az govt approval is asking for trouble. As far as I see it, they then make themselves liable for arrest. Now as I’ve said before I’d assume Az will want to take back the regions actually listed for handover first, to reinforce those borders, and to allow the Russians to remove Armenian forces from remaining NK. To allow Turkish forces in to reinforce those lands listed for handover. That will presumably take til the new year. It has been stated those Armenians living in NK will do so under an Azerbaijan passport. It is a telling signal. I can’t see any “local government” being given any significant powers until there has been a repopulation of the area by Az citizens. Those who were removed decades ago, or their ancestors or indeed new inhabitants attracted their by various promises of a better life and opportunity. | jbravo2
20/11/2020 11:38 | JB Just to be clear, can you confirm that the Kashen mine is essentially the same resource as Behre Dolbear estimated [from Soviet records] for the Gyzilbulakh CA? Does AAZ cashing in on Kashen necessarily depend upon Ajerbaijan having at least high level jurisdiction over NK province? [I imagine so.] In the absence of this, isn't the issue of illegitimacy on part of the current 'owners'-operators both moot and academic? Could affairs conceivably evolve such that AAZ's entitlement to Gyzilbulakh CA and therefore Kashen is acknowledged by a NK provincial governance answerable to the [Armenian] populace at a local level but also to Baku at a national level? Noting from what you've posted, Kashen is foremost a copper mine [though considerable gold production too?] I'm thinking that it may become difficult for the existing operators of Kashen to continue to ship out large volumes of copper concentrate through the Lachin corridor. Will the Russians be persuaded that the Kashen operations are indeed illegal? Possibly the restoration of AAZ's entitlement may emerge 'in the mix' as various economic/business considerations become traded off between the local NK governance and Baku? Hmmmm. | 2sporrans
20/11/2020 11:22 | Stock very tight now & struggling to get any more in meaningful quantity. I'm convinced that Warrants takeup by AAZ was just to fund the Conroy legals or the JV. That deal is now done and the Warrants takeup is the confirmation before the RNS, afaiac | mattjos
20/11/2020 10:47 | Yeah well frankly it’s bonkers gold rush. As matt says, these CA’s were previously worth nothing at all on the valuation. Now they should easily add up to the valuation of the existing company. Here’s what I reckon so far... Vejnali Small mine. Bit like Gosha at the moment I’d guess. Small crushing plant. Perhaps a fledgling leach pad? Not clear what it is. (In Vejnali CA) Kovsakan I’m not convinced yet that this is a gold mine. It’s appeared named as a gold mine in an Armenian telegram channel but it may just be a source of lime. Whatever it is they dig out, it certainly travels up the road to near the Kapan mine and processing site in Armenia. Small fledgling set up what ever it is. (In Vejnali CA) Plant near Tirkeshevend I’m sure this is a mine under construction. The stripping isn’t even done yet but the tell tale signs are all there. (Lies well outside any existing CA) Sotk Massive hard ore gold mine straddling the border with Armenia. Most of the mine itself appears to be in Az territory. One of the largest in the region. Possibly 14 years of sulphide ore left. Processing is done right on the other side of Armenia at the Ararat Gold plant near the Turkish border. Ore travels by train right across the country. The ore needs specialist treatment due to sulphide nature. They were getting 20% recovery til they built an Albion extraction plant. Now get c.90%. The mine has crushing on site but most of it appears to be in the Armenian side. (In Soutely CA) Kashen Massive copper mine. All in the NK territory where Az troops won’t move into. Longer process to get to, but perhaps only by a couple of months. Az will exert its control IMO in NK and ensure that the previous illegal mining companies get none of the spoils. Long mine life and processing all done on site AFAIAA. (In Gyzilbulakh CA) | jbravo2
20/11/2020 10:38 | WAN I've a few IMM shares bought at a relative cheap price tad over 10p Phase 3trial is underway looking forward to the results, hope share price can keep nudging up so I can de risk a few. 20/11/2020 10:26 | jb2 and Matt Topped up too....not quite jb2's 10k😀😀 ....for the increased resources we are way too low valuation wise..... EDIT.....I see the price has started to firm a little.... | goldrush
20/11/2020 10:23 | access to these CA's is something I never, ever believed would come about. Have never ascribed any value to them whatsoever since the first day I came across AAZ back in 2009 yet, here we are 11½ years later & we are going to be able to access them & start the PSA on them. Company valuation has, in effect, doubled but, folk can't see it yet .. these sort of opportunities do not come along very often in life and when they do, you just have to grab them, imo | mattjos
20/11/2020 10:19 | :-) bravo Really cannot believe we are getting this chance to add in the 130's before news but, if the market is going to offer them up, just have to take them | mattjos
20/11/2020 10:17 | And 10 for me. Last of my ISA divi money going back in. Was hoping for a bit lower what with the lack of appetite but there’s gold in them thar hills. Been doing a bit of reading on Sotk. Apparently there was 18 years left in it 4 years ago | jbravo2
20/11/2020 10:06 | few more for me | mattjos
20/11/2020 09:52 | Volume totally dried up here. | katsy
