as for AAZ management cmb,,, to them,,,, I am truly humbled by your approach to mining and your sincere appreciation of shareholders,,, which is sadly lacking in many other businesses... great job guys and big apologies from me if I have doubted your abilities in the past,,, I had absolutely no right to do so and had a lot of investment growing up to do at the time,,, which I hope I have now managed,,, a bit, anyhow,,, Cheers Wan :-)

Thanks - you are right, you have to do a bit of leg work to understand the full scale of things.

I've just re-extracted and sorted the Gosha results and they look better now (I only had about 1/3 of the data). There are actually 2 gold intercepts above 15 g/t and copper up to 6%! These are only small length intercepts, but I understand Gosha is more like mining slim veins of high grade ore, rather than bulk tonnage?

Overall avg gold was 0.97 g/t with all the results, so not bad, especially if they can cherry pick the high grade veins to follow..

Yes, it is their usual careful language of underplaying everything.
That’s why I’m presuming the whole sort of passing mentions of preparing to fast track to production actually means it’s already decided we’re going to open a new mine as soon as Covid allows

At the current gold price I would like flashy headlines personally. I am buying gold miner shares to make a profit when the market is roaring not in the future when it could be a lot lower. If I wanted a long term buy and hold I would not look in the mining sector they are highly cyclic and all those lovely gains can fall away on the down cycle. Oil similar.

I just re-read the RNS and realised I've accidentally chopped off at least half of the Gosha results when tabulating somehow.. oops.. I will re-do - hence missed that 15 g/t intersect referred to in the RNS!

To be fair, on a re-read, most of those 'headline grabber' highlights are referenced, but I think too buried in the details so that anyone besides regulars like here would maybe not see anything worth shouting about?

Wan,2SP,Bleepy,Mat,KS, etc do a great job of explaining the RNS to us lot.

We are very lucky to have people like 2SP who examines every bit under the microscope. Great thread, that main one and my sincere thanks to them for their time taken and their input that saves us a great deal of time.

I would also like to thank the BoD of AAZ for a great job done under a lot of stress.

apols KS, but your last post (on the main AAZ thread) is just too good to not have repeated here,,, many thanx KS,,, cheers Wan :-)

A different BOD could have easily cherry picked certain results out of this data for RNS headlines, such as:

1) Significant gold grades identified at Gadir underground, with 5 results intersecting grades > 10 g/t and one hole in excess of 30 g/t!

2) Drilling at Gedabek underground shows that gold grades are improving by more than 80% at depth (I worked out 1.26 g/t on avg v the open pit drill results of 0.7 g/t).

3) New areas of mineralisation established at Avshancli with gold grades intersected up to 8.45 g/t and areas averaging c1.35 g/t.

4) High grade copper zones identified at Avschancli with intersects up to 3% copper, averaging 0.5%.

5) High grade gold intersects at Gilar up to 14 g/t averaging 1.2 g/t at surface.

6) Highly prospective new mineralisation zone at Zaffer discovered with zinc grades intersected up to 7.91 %.

7) High grade silver and copper identified at Ugur with intersects up to 2.66% averaging 0.75% copper and up to 115 g/t silver, averaging < 30 g/t silver.

8) More gold at Gosha identified with intersects up to 3.89 g/t.

Instead they kind of went with a fairly low key "results are a bit variable - please see website for our in depth reports".

Absolutely agree. On reading the RNS I couldn't help but imagine how it would have read if published by 'certain' other goldies

Regarding the weekly stock picking competition, are you ok if I post the results tomorrow for last week and then move it onto a new thread so as not to clutter your thread going forward?

If people want to be taken off they can let me know and I will remove them on the new thread going forward.

Like I say, it is intended as a bit of fun and also to realise where other PI's are investing. Currently this week, the no 1 position is held by Actonovator (PALM), 2nd place C0lin1 (ALTN)and third place Jbe81/Brass03 (ARB), but this can all change tomorrow.

Personally PALM wasn't on my monitor list before but will now be looking into it further.
