Bought some BUR and AGFX this morning. BUR for the impending move to the US which i think will prove materially positive for the company and AGFX because i missed it the first time round and like the read across from AFX today. Results on Aug 3rd will be good but obvs need to know what has happened April, May and June.

First there was the 600m tunnel as your first para.

Secondly another one spuring off roughly right angles, under flank of
mian pit. Can't recall exactly how many 100m off toh.
That's the 1 currently under dev. and specifically main pit underground resourced.
As you say, a vent shaft completed for this 2nd tunnel; Q2 or Q3 last year was it?
Can't recall precisely without a check.
Since then a lot of work in progress and presumably now completed wrt access passages
from which fan drilling follows on. Again also expect a good lot now drilled.
Yes, there are the deep surface dd samples from a while back but surely a lot
more been learnt from the X-passage drilling.
Think there will also be/have been more such drilling along the first tunnel to identify any more resource which may come out of the Gadir end whenever it is excavated as you suggest.
All to be revealed in the H1 then.

Soon there will be the new Third tunnel to provide dual access to the main pit u/g resource.
As you imply, wouldn't want to take out the excavated ore all the way through the
Gadir mine, so guess it was always going to happen.

It was always going to be a hard call when to call time on the open cast excavations as the stripping costs gradually rise and likely the copper/gold ratio too on one side, though not that one for the flank over the u/g mine.
Guess the open pit excavations will continue for quite a while yet though....but perhaps this is the final modelling of it.

As ever with AAZ, the rather more relevant information is in the details of the RNS. The herd merely scan the headlines and scarper whilst those more familiar with the company and the way it works are somewhat better at divining the valuable snippets that are constantly released in these RNS.

What lies at depth under Gedbek open pit is where the true value is and from Q4 this year, we will be mining underground … Gedabek & Gadir are contiguous with one another & will become one larger underground complex.

For me the message is clear .. there are quite clearly more commercially exploitable reserves underground here & therefore the 2 x Five Year Extensions will be utilised.

Am itching to see some JORC data for Gedabek underground mine & the grades present

I think an allotment might be more valuable or living in the sticks where you can live off the land will be more useful than gold tbh

My point of view is that the last few quarters have been a bit disappointing in terms of production. Would love to be churning out 78k gold ounces this year, rather than the mixed metals. However, these lower grades have been flagged by the business and I can't complain.I am excited by the progress towards underground Gadebek. And I'm excited about the exploration updates this month, and then again in September.Having been invested here for a couple of years now, this is what I have been waiting for. The next 3 years should be transformational.Progress is not as quick as many of us would have liked, but I trust management are doing what they feel is right for shareholders. They are the shareholders, after all!

The 600 mtr tunnel driven from Gadir u/g mine to beneath Gedabek open pits some 2yrs ago has allowed them to construct further exploration and development tunneling beneath Gedabek open pits and complete a ventilation shaft.

The second tunnel from a new portal/access to Gedabek u/g mine will allow an exclusive production/supply route.

Gadir has its own portal/access that presently is also the route that has allowed exploration and development of Gedabek u/g mine.

On completion of the new 500mtr tunnel, both Gadir and Gedabek u/g mine will have dedicated production/supply routes.

Bearing in mind the 600mtr access tunnel has exploration tunnels along its length with perhaps crosscut tunnels planned between the two tunnels. Whilst driving the 1st 600 mtr tunnel they experienced Gadir style ore along its length. And with extensive deep drilled surface exploration completed they will have an informed guesstimate of what lies beneath Gedabek open pits complex(some 6 pits from memory).

A small part of that IG Markets holding is mine, sadly only a tad over 2 % cf. almost 5 % around March.

IG only list 11-50 clients with positions in this market (as of 10:50 today) and so there must be quite a large holder in among that group.

edit
But that may not include CFD clients as i was looking on the SB platform.

Here's a current list Katsy, but of course one can't tell who's hiding behind the brokerage listings. My guess it's just normal movements as some holders play with a portion of their holdings trying to work a bit of income from it.

Dripped in another 2k shares.

sp seems to have stabilised for now; sort of retested today's lows.

Which prob. means there'll be a further leg down ha.
I'll buy that if it comes.

Even more is hanging on the H1 exploration update, maybe 2 weeks time; and later on the JORCs.

What is that new tunnel heading towards?

Offloading an old leach pad also frees up space to reuse where land for leach pads is at a premium, so oxidised ore from next open pit has somewhere to go now too

lefrene is there a list of major shareholders somewhere as I suspect we have either an insider or a large holder selling out.

Katsy, add debt free and divi paying, plus racking up serious bank balance, and still the market sells it!

YIKES Brasso3, will do :-),,,, cheers Wan :-)

I think the collapse is likely to be so rapid that in the absence of any other information, the best thing to do is to hold on to gold and silver as an insurance policy just in case I am right..............

Hi Wan,let the AAZ share price gyrations
continue,if you are not planning to sell or buy any then things will sort themselves out over time. Just sit back and collect the divi.
Enjoy the day and relax. I am having to take two cold showers a day to stay cool here.
I hope the vaccine works and I can make some travel plans for the future.
Thanks for your input in all subjects.
ATB.
