16/6/2020 19:13 | Wan talking of charts especially filling gaps did you get onboard GAN the other day? | ![]() pogue
16/6/2020 19:00 | Cheers Wan the problem is in the article 'It’s also a supply story because producer nations led by Saudi Arabia and Russia are keeping more crude supply off the market than ever before in a strategy that’s looking increasingly successful as a means of propping up prices.' Oil price is rising because of record cuts for the next month, once that month is over will Russia and Saudi continue to cut their own throats for the benefit of other countries not in OPEC+ or will they increase production...Its only a spike this is not long term unless we are on for the shortest world wide depression in history. | ![]() pogue

16/6/2020 18:46 | Over the past 12 months, assets in global gold-backed ETFs have nearly doubled. In dollar-terms, year-to-date inflows of $33.7 billion have already exceeded the previous high seen back in 2016. Another month of positive inflows in May, coupled with the rising price of gold, also pushed assets under management (AUM) in gold ETFs to a new record high of $195 billion. North American firms led regional inflows for the second straight month and hit all-time highs in May. Funds based in North America increased holdings by 102 tons. North American funds now hold 1,815 tons of the yellow metal, surpassing the previous highs of 1,736 tons charted in December 2012. European funds saw inflows of 45 tons. UK-based funds led the way, accounting for about 65% of the regional total for the month. Asian funds – primarily those based in China – added to their holdings as well, with inflows of 4.8 tons. 16/6/2020 18:16 | Thanks for all the posts on green energy with particular reference to battery technology and how to store said energy, very interesting stuff. I've done a little bit of research myself, I didn't realise that there were that many companies out there particularly in the US. More homework required. I researched a share a few weeks ago and had a punt on it, I did mention it here at the time. I bought at .29 and .34 and it went to .68 today so very pleased. EQT is the company, gas from waste. Still a punt but looking good. I bought some ACP today, just a small amount but enough should plans come to fruition, I have put it in my drawer with EML and EQT. Went to work today for the first time since March 20th, very enjoyable banter with colleagues but very strange. I now require a nice few glasses of something chilled to ease me back into lockdown this evening. | ![]() fozzie

16/6/2020 17:59 | Here is a very interesting article on S Korea and how they have controlled there outbreaks since the first one a few months ago. Most have been since the lockdown was partially lifted but the level of control and surveillance they have is something the West will never have never mind contemplate. We are doomed to a very large 2nd spike I am afraid judging by our poor level of testing and inadequate track and trace system plus the attitudes by some of our high risk groups to social distancing. | ![]() pogue

16/6/2020 14:17 | No problem Wan. When I get excited by something, I become an enthusiast, and I have enthusiasm today for PXC. They have promised a whole series of RNS's through summer and autumn, starting from mid to end June, so please do keep watching them. I feel it's like the mission to the moon. The early days you see a whole load of money being spent, but everyone involved has enthusiasm. Then you go through the middle spell, when the money is still disappearing, but the results are not there yet. But there are now doubters hovering around the edges, and you have to come out with positive messages, and positive research to keep those doubters at bay. I feel we've now launched our first Saturn V, and it's worked. We're about to try the first ones round the moon to test everything out, but the science is good, and has been tested. The doubters are still there, but decreasing. Now we've got to get the public enthused, and once they're on board, there'll be nothing stopping us. Nothing. We reach the moon at the end of next year! | ![]() pantsonfire
16/6/2020 14:16 | Professor Chris Whitty @CMO_England · 12m This is the most important trial result for COVID-19 so far. Significiant reduction in mortality in those requiring oxygen or ventilation from a widely available, safe and well known drug. Many thanks to those who took part and made it happen. It will save lives around the world. Quote Tweet NIHR Research @NIHRresearch · 20m The NIHR-supported RECOVERY trial has shown that dexamethasone, a steroid, significantly reduces the risk of dying from #COVID19 for seriously ill patients requiring respiratory intervention - a major breakthrough #priorityCOVIDresear Could be a dampener on other COVID stocks... | ![]() sportbilly1976
16/6/2020 14:12 | Coronavirus: 'Major breakthrough' as UK scientists find £5 steroid cuts COVID-19 deaths - The drug, dexamethasone, reduced death rates by a third for patients on ventilators, and by a fifth for patients needing oxygen. Martin Landray, an Oxford University professor who is co-leading the trial, said: "This is a result that shows that if patients who have COVID-19 and are on ventilators or are on oxygen are given dexamethasone, it will save lives, and it will do so at a remarkably low cost. It's been around for probably 60 years. Good news for mankind :-) Cheers Wan :-) | wanobi
