20/5/2020 13:56 | Stockopedia is a great resource imo for screening to find the best companies except it's data can be behind the curve. Following covid it is next to useless except imo, for example, for companies not affected negatively by covid i.e gold producers Back to AAZ, I am expecting RNS 7am tomorrow morning Interview at 6pm Brokers notes Friday Press articles over the weekend There should also be further rnsable news to follow Next top up for me will be when gold looks to close above 1775 as I see this as the key to unlocking 2600. Gold currenlty 1750 Gla - just my thoughts | ![]() return_of_the_apeman
20/5/2020 13:42 | The charts are making it very hard to move through this area at the moment. Its like plowing through mud,but we are getting through it bit by bit. Just need to get to a little blue sky and i think we will move up rapidly. | ![]() gold finger 1
20/5/2020 13:40 | That's because Dan wasn't joking, it's written by AI. Its a template with some ratios thrown in. You can spot them a mile off. | ![]() qazwsxedc69

20/5/2020 13:28 | RE Paul Scott - I'll always be thankful to him for highlighting BOO to me. It was a business he knew well being a CFO of a similar company. And in that arena it was clear that he knew his stuff, and BOO was my first 10 bagger thanks to him (I got in at under 22p) He then doubled down on SOS which though in some ways similar, anyone could see was a turkey (IMO, DYOR etc). He also seemed to me to get increasingly err.....erratic shall we say, and we had some late night posts that were distinctly ranty. But yes, he has been weirdly dismissive of AAZ in the past. | ![]() qazwsxedc69
20/5/2020 13:25 | Matt is right about the chairman bailing the company out. How many times have you seen directors put money in to their company, only to ask for a massive interest rate and shares. In some cases a royalty that is the gift that just keeps giving for them. Its also true that with the management holding such a large % they have a lot more to gain or lose than we do. They don't seem to be rushed into getting news out to get the share price higher like we want. That is because they have the knowledge of what is going on, and so are a lot more relaxed than most shareholders. Lets hope that when we do finally get the news it as good as we have been led to believe. | ![]() gold finger 1
20/5/2020 13:25 | Lurchers that's just an automated article e.g. hxxps://www.stockope It's an easier way for them to get into search results and draw people in, but its a machine thats written it. | ![]() dan_the_epic
20/5/2020 13:22 | i twice highlighted AAZ to Paul Scott at Stockopedia when it was well under 10p & under 20p (from memory). On both occasions just received dismissive and arrogant reply to the effect that such companies were of no interest to him & would not be bothering to look into them. This from a man who declares: "I search for fundamental value in smaller caps, especially companies which are overlooked, or where price has become irrationally low due to negative sentiment. I like businesses with decent cashflow, strong balance sheets, and like dividends. I tend to hold for 6 months to 10 years, but a typical investment is 2-3 years. Special situations, and situations where the market has not yet priced in an improving commercial outlook for a company particularly interest me, as do turnarounds. But above all, shares which are cheap!" Well Paul Scott, I think safe to say you'd struggle to find your hand in front of your own face. | ![]() mattjos

20/5/2020 13:05 | JB and Terropol as you know, i've got a screw loose also, AAZ far too big a share of my portfolio and whenever it has hit my share target price, I re evaluate and decide to hold on I might leak a few a 2.50 to 3.00 but will do the same examination of fundamentals again prior to selling. good luck all GH | ![]() gutterhead

20/5/2020 13:00 | It's only really in the last 6 months or so that you have been hearing & reading about the possible sense in investing a little bit of your money into Gold in the mainstream press … only guided about 2-5% as an 'insurance' policy against what may lurk just around the next corner. I fully expect Gold to maintain its upward trajectory this year .. the herd will be arriving into it soon & definitely once it accelerates up a further 10% & goes past $1,900. | ![]() mattjos
20/5/2020 12:56 | Anybody holding following ODX, seems to me in the next 10 days it makes a big move, either up or down | ![]() jbe81
20/5/2020 12:49 | & for all those 'experts' who have banged on about the cost of investing in Gold & how it has no yield bla bla bla .. & all the time the price of gold has been climbing from $1,050/oz to now over $1,750/oz The world is already at ZIRP & falling fast into NIRP: UK sells negative-yielding government bonds for first time .... in history Still, could always invest in a debt-free Gold Miner with 5% Yield | ![]() mattjos
20/5/2020 12:33 | Just a thought - it looks like there's a big buyer in the background. I'm being offered 142.2p for everything in my trading account. Wonder if that's share price Angel and Hardman clients / contacts buying ahead of their AAZ broker notes. | ![]() bozzy_s
20/5/2020 12:33 | Oh don’t worry Terropol. (I know you won’t) We’re all bonkers here. You know, the group that have been here years, have made a mint in capital gains but despite all the predictions of us cashing in and clearing off, realise the biggest gains are still to come. They’re getting closer and closer :) | jbravo2

20/5/2020 12:23 | CINOIB, I am sure I have a few screws loose... I have been here in AAZ 16 years, In my 21 years of trading i have tried many strategies, My best results have been here. Wile The shares investments is my Jam...The bread and butter is in properties. The moral of the story is "even with a few loose screws" the machine seems to be working OK. Now lets all get some WD40 and roll us up to £2.00 quotation. ;-) | ![]() terropol

20/5/2020 12:21 | Aye Matt, it comes to something but there is a strong case now for AAZ as a very safe haven for ones cash. It’s the usual dilemma, if one were to sell where would one put it that’s safer, offering such a growing return, with the added bonus of capital growth to come. Never had an answer which came close. | jbravo2
20/5/2020 12:13 | Looks like the MM's have been reading my post again 2p spread, that's more like it. Mattjos, not off hand. | ![]() cinoib |
